Upper End Of Lake Meredith

 

Lake Meredith was the best thing that ever happened to the area around Borger and Amarillo,Texas. It provided a place for water sports, boating, fishing, diving, swimming, picnicking, camping, hiking, bicycling, and hunting that we had not previously had. My family enjoyed the lake for many years. Here’s how we used the area at the upper end of the lake.

I have heard that if you start with a single written message and have a person read it and pass it on verbally to a second person, then the second person pass it on verbally to third person, then the third person to a fourth person, the final message will be so twisted that it will not even resemble the original message. During the early 1970’s shortly after Pam and I got married, we lived in Arroya Verde (out in the boonies at that time) in Fritch, Texas.
