We were there for the births of all of our grandchildren,
And it seems like a short while ago that we first saw Ben.
I recall seeing him through the window with the nurses,
Looking so handsome back before I wrote these verses.
Luke came next, then Sarah, and finally Zack did then arrive.
Since they were born, they’ve grown a lot being so very alive.

My daughter Kristi met Carl at a camp job she did take,
As a girl’s summer camp counselor on the Fort Gibson Lake.
Carl was maintaining the camp, living in a trailer there,
