Out in the Texas Panhandle town called Phillips,
Is where I was born as I made my very first trip.
This documents my young life traveling the USA,

I scanned through an old photo book I found yesterday,
And pulled out a few old pictures in there along my way.
We had lots of fun in these moments captured in time,
That I have written about in this story poem blog of mine.
I’m so glad we took lots of pictures through the long years,
As they bring back special memories and some joy tears.
I think this is the reason I use pictures to help tell my story,

Back when I was a whipper snapper cute as I could be,
I loved candy bars my Mom and Dad often bought for me.
I have compiled a list of my favorite at age 6 to 8 for you,
In this story poem to see If you may agree with me too.
As I recall, most candy bars cost 5 cents back at that time,
And they were much bigger then which made them so fine.
I guess it is just a way of the world we live in for this trend,

We were there for the births of all of our grandchildren,
And it seems like a short while ago that we first saw Ben.
I recall seeing him through the window with the nurses,
Looking so handsome back before I wrote these verses.
Luke came next, then Sarah, and finally Zack did then arrive.
Since they were born, they’ve grown a lot being so very alive.
