William And William
As my Grandson Zack William and I have some common traits,
I’ve prepared this poem to make it easier to keep us straight.
I know for sure we both like to act a little silly every now and then,
But we both keep our stature as independent very proud men.
William And William
.
Sometimes when Zack is playing out in the backyard with a friend,
They have the urge to pee but just can’t wait to make it on in,
So they step up to the nearest fence and do what comes naturally.
Not even caring who else may be playing there that may see.

Sometimes when I am sitting around just being so very nice,
Someone backs right up to me and puts their butt in my face,
So I stick up my big right thumb to do what comes so naturally,
And give that old butt a great big goose for being so ugly to me.

Zack William has been known to act up sometimes getting silly,
This makes him a bit similar to his old granddaddy named Billy.
I think Zack was so completely charged up with that static electricity,
That his hair was floating around trying to find that perfect eccentricity.

Like Zack, I sometimes act up looking like a complete weirdo,
But I just can’t seem to stop that weird bug that haunts me so.
With this pose I look like some kind of a home grown redneck,
With a mouth full of teeth that have had a whole life time of neglect.

Don’t worry, young Zack has a much better pose than that one,
Without any props, he can contort his face for some real fun.
When you see the look on his face, he seems scared to death,
I would call this one “A Child In Terror” from this day forth with.

Old Bill needs more props to try to compete with that expression,
Perhaps, like the silly costume I wore to teach a clogging session.
It was fun dress up day and some say that I went all the way,
Trying to look more silly than any of my students on that day.

I think Zack and I have developed a special bond that I do love,
His little boy actions seem to be sent down from heaven above.
When he first saw me at Beavers Bend during our summer trip,
He ran to me first and gave me a great big hug I will never forget.

I recall last year when we visited my daughters family home,
There was an old chair on the garage floor out where Zack roams.
I sat there watching Zack play basketball as we talked a lot.
We became buddies after I told him some war stories so hot.

On another trip to Frisco, when we visiting his family once again,
We went fishing at the nice lake two blocks away from them.
Zack had brought me his third bad tangle to unravel for him.
He said “PoPo, I’m going to have to take fishing lessons again.”

My favorite Zack time happened when I was in the easy chair,
He had just got up from his bed and brought his iPad in there,
I was working on my iPad and he slipped in between my feet
We both sat there working together as one entity so very sweet.
