Breakfast At Pioneer Woman’s

Breakfast At Pioneer Woman’s

Last night Kristi and the grandkids came over to stay,
As in the morning we were headed out for a special day.
To Pioneer Woman’s cafe to eat breakfast on over that way.
As we hear the food is so very good if you can get in to play.

Breakfast At Pioneer Woman’s

.

We left our house at 8:15 AM eager to get to Pawhuska town,
Wondering how long the line would be there on the ground.
We were pleasantly surprised as just four were in line,
Ahead of us at 8:45 AM when we got there this time.

.

We took a few pictures in front on a wooden bench there.
As we talked and joked having fun together, I do swear.
So we were in the cafe in 5 minutes ready to order our grub.
And we got our order in very fast at that special club.

.

Our food was so very good as we wolfed it down so very fast,
So far our day was going great hoping our luck would last.
So we headed on into the Mercantile for the ladies to shop.
As I just hung around on a nice little wooden bench stop.

.

We all then headed on up to the pastry shop upstairs so nice.
Where I ordered a “knock you naked brownie” for spice.”
Then I sat down on the couch up there before we did go,
The ladies said “the Lodge is open today, we’re going to roll.”

.

We headed to the Lodge where Pioneer Woman films her show,
Cooking all that good food there for television, you know.
On the trip out we passed wild mustangs on the prairie,
And wild flowers too of all colors raised by the wild fairies.

.

On the hill nearing the Lodge on the Drummond Ranch,
We saw a breath taking view putting us in a trance.
The views out over the prairie were awesome to see,
Before we went inside, that Lodge looking so country.

The south end of the Lodge is behind Pam and Kristi.

.

Just outside of the Lodge there were three old dogs,
Making that place look so down homey to the Hawg.
There was a ranch size barbecue just outside the door
That might hold one hundred steaks on top or more.

.

Just inside was a cool sign that had my eye glimmering.
Saying “Cowboys scrape shit from boots before entering”
And a large fireplace with a row of worn out cowboy boots,
I loved the feeling like the Lodge and me were in cahoots.

.

I tried my hand at cooking there at her cooking spot,
And I must say, standing there made me feel so very hot,
So I tasted a bit of my beef stew I pretended to cook,
Acting kind of silly as the old man continued to look.

.

Overlooking that cooking spot was a longhorn skull,
Watching everything we did there throwing out the bull.
Sarah tried her hand cooking some ranch style beans,
On Pioneer Woman’s stove top there looking so keen.

.

There was another big fire place on the back side center,
Where we stood and posed together in a state of splendor.
Living in a place like this is every country man’s dream.
Later, we went to Tall Grass Prairie Prereserve so very green.

.

But….. The Tall Grass Prairie Preserve is another blog.
