What is “it”?, I feel you thinking as you just start to read,
“It” is what gives you a great “feels so right” feeling, indeed.
Over the years, there were “Things That Did It For Me”,
And in this story poem I’ll share some for you to see.

Things That Did It For Me
.
That love Pam and I made after we first got married was so fine,
Feeling the booming thunder when we did love time after time.
Making us both feel so right as our lovely babies we did create.
Those feelings of ecstasy were wonderful making us feel great.
We are off on our honeymoon and they’re predicting a thunder storm.

The great joy of child birth of our two lovely girls was so fine,
And then learning with them as we all did grow over a time,
Living and loving our lives together as they grew to fine ladies,
Now feeling so right as they have families with their own babies.
Family just feels so right.
.
To have a dog of your own to love and keep there by your side,
Scratching their ears talking doggie baby talk on your ride,
As they look up at you and smile big with love in their own eyes,
Always giving me a feels so right feeling as a sentimental guy.
She’s a pretty girl, yes she is.
.
Enjoying life with our close friends as we did things together,
Like square dancing and clogging for big fun with each other,
Always working so hard to be the best friends we could be,
Having the time of our lives enjoying each other’s fine company.
We loved the times we had with our friends.

Having a company executive make a special trip down to see me,
To tell me I did an outstanding job on a project for the Company,
Made me feel so very right kind of shining all over all day long,
And as you can now see, about that day, I’m still singing my song.
Excellent job on that project you just completed Bill.

Being out in nature in God’s awesome great outdoor creations,
Gave me that feels so right feeling as my personal sensation,
To take in that natural beauty as it touched my soul out there.
Making me float off the ground as I absorbed all the grandeur.
Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas Panhandle.

Dry fly fishing out in the Rio Grande River was special for me,
Standing in the river in God’s country near South Fork, you see.
Flipping that fly upstream watching it get sucked in by a trout,
Gave me a natural high feeling as I played him until he was out.
Wait, that’s my brother Craig, but he looks a lot like me.
.
Two stepping with Pam out on a hard wood floor felt so right,
Feeling the beat of a honky tonk tune holding Pam so tight,
As we seemed to just fly along in a world of our own out there,
Just floating on the clouds with our heads so high up in the air.
You look lovely today, Pam.

Drinking that wonderful beer in Germany, Holland, and Scotland,
Had me feeling so right after a few full pints on my demand.
The beer tasted so fine and strong as I began to float on my stool,
But I usually quit drinking before I turned into a clown or a fool.

Spending time with my grandchildren in my golden years so fine,
Still makes me feel so right, kind of making the old man shine,
As I watch in much awe at their very good looks and intelligence,
And see hope for the future world if they use their good sense.
Things felt so right on that outing to the lake.
