I met an old man sitting in his chair one fine spring day,
So I sat down there beside him to see what he had to say.
He looked at me and broke into a great big happy smile,
Then said “Hello, I have been waiting for a long while.” Continue reading

As a young man, I wondered about things to come,
Because I was very curious about on my own life’s run.
These wonderings brought many thoughts that were wrong,
Perhaps, you had some of the same thoughts along. Continue reading
Mom was one of those traditional holiday ladies,
Who cherished family traditions with all of her babies.
She taught us well as those traditions became ours too,
So each year we all continue those traditions on through. Continue reading

Each year when Christmas time is growing very near
It’s time to put together a few verses about our year,

As I display each years poster in the verses of this poem,
I’ll present pictures of the Misques over the years glowing.
I think you will be able to see from the pictures in here.
How much fun we had with those crowds that loudly cheered.

We loved all of the live shows drinking beer as we did jive.
If they had a dance floor, we danced to the stars,
Getting lost in the music, moving around that floor so far.
.
Pam always had to get a signed picture of the honky tonker,
Most of the stars signed “To Pam” which really zonked her.
I have selected a few real honky tonker photos to share,
With a verse about each one and our good times there. Continue reading
