What If

What If

.

Sometimes it’s fun to play the “what If” game to test our fantasies.
We wonder about things in the world we live in that just might be.
This poem captures my wild ideas that may provoke your minds.
They are not true, but “what if” just one was correctly aligned?

What if President Obama was a terrorist plant placed here years ago,
To blend in the population getting into politics with others he knows,
With the sole purpose of disrupting our economy to take us out
If so, he’s well on his way with his assignment without a doubt.

What if our sun and all the planets that revolve on around it.
Are just an atom in another ginormous universe in a ladies tit.
Can you imagine the enormity of another universe like that one,
Perhaps we have a billion other universes right inside our thumb.

What if another large asteroid were to plow right into the earth,
Would that be the end of all mankind and all their present worth,
Or would man reemerge in a million or two years in the future.
Perhaps the planet of the apes would really happen for sure.

What if the researchers were to find a cure for cancer this year.
There would be a lot of very sick people that would really cheer.
Maybe diabetes would be next on the list for complete cure.
This result might even make my old life much better for sure.

What if there is not a heaven waiting for us as most of us believe,
Would there just be blackness for us as our families do grieve,
Or maybe heaven is much better that we could ever imagine,
Which is the scenario that I do believe my soul will then live in.

What if we soon have World War lll and the nukes they do fly,
Will all life on earth be quickly extinguished and in time we all die?
It seems like the powers that be would be able to foresee this,
And destroy every single one of the nukes to keep all our bliss.

What if the next president of the USA turned out to be a woman,
Can this great nation of ours withstand two sequential firsts, Amen.
I’m sure we would be just fine, but it seems to me like a bad omen.
Let’s get over our first First first to slow down our loud moaning.

What if lions had wings, would we be in more danger of attack,
As we walked in the green jungle watching not only our back,
But also watching above for attacks from the clear blue skies.
We would always have to be watching close for a lion that flies.

What if our moon was run into by a flaming comet so grand,
Would it still be romantic for young couples in love holding hands?
As the moon controls the oceans tides, would there be a tsunami?
And wash all our beautiful coastal cities right on out to the sea?

As I warned you before, the “what if” game gets kind of wild and crazy,
Because of the weird things we can conjure up with ideas so hazy.
And there is no truth to any of the things that I have written for fun,
So I hope no one will get angry about the fun “what ifs” I’ve done.
