Sarah Ann

Sarah Ann

I find it easy to write a poem about a young lady so good,
Who always does exactly what you think she should.
Such a fine young lady with a long lifetime ahead indeed,
Sarah will be the subject of this poem that you read.

Sarah Ann

Sarah is my only granddaughter so tender and sweet,
She’s like a breath of fresh cool air so light on her feet.
A more beautiful young lady I have never seen before,
She brightens up the room when she comes in the door.

She’s had a few problems with allergies and the like,
But she is a trooper and always says she is alright.
I love to sit and talk to her about things in her young life
Because she is always happy and she is so very bright.

.
Sarah has been dancing since she was just a tiny girl
She is in the “Nutcracker Suite” with her cute little whirls
Each December when they present their grand show
Always doing a superb job of dancing as she grows.

She is also an expert in ballerina and tap with her troop
Participating in their fine recital with the rest of her group.
I see each of her annual performances when I am well,
So far I’ve only missed one when I was too sick to travel.

After each of her dancing shows, we give her some roses.
She is so beautiful in her dancing outfits when she poses
That you just want to hold her and give her a big old hug
While thanking her for the joy she gave us cutting her rug.

.

I always take Sarah and her family to Olive Garden to eat
After each of her near perfect performances with her feet.
This has become a tradition which we will likely continue
With Sarah still dressed in her beautiful costumes too.

Sarah reminds me so much of her mother at that age
It seems like going back in history and repeating a page.
Her mannerisms and looks are much the same you see,
Kristi, my daughter, often calls Sarah “My Minnie Me.”

Sarah loves animals and being in the great outdoors,
And she loves to fish with her old PoPo even more.
She helps raise chickens in their back yard hen coop,
Including even sweeping up some of the chicken poop.

Sarah just loves her chickens and they love her. When she’s outside, they follow her around like puppies.

.
Her Brittany Spaniel named Scout is just a little bit fat.
But she defends him boldly when I often call him that.
She always defends the underdog with vigor and vim,
Which is a trait that I love in her as she takes care of them.

Sarah’s old fat Brittany Spaniel named Scout just loves her to pieces. Just look at those brown eyes looking at her.

There is no sweeter and loving young lady than Sarah,
She is just fun to be around and a pleasure bearer.
Perhaps we tend to spoil her rotten the slightest little bit.
But she is just a super great young lady, let’s not forget.

Thanks for reading Sarah Ann,
Bill
