Old Family Baby Pictures

I was looking at our old family picture archive today,
And noticed a lot of strange baby pictures on display.
Neither Pam nor I know who they may be from way back,
But I think most are from Pam’s side and that’s a fact.

The first baby looks like he is mad at the whole world,
He seems to be thinking “lean down a little closer girl,
And I’ll punch you in the mouth just to make you sad,”
I don’t think I’ve ever seen another baby looking so mad.

The next baby boy looks like a weird goofy little dear,
This little guy seems to be thinking “come over here,
I’ve got a surprise in my diaper just for little ole you.”
He seems happy as he has finished and is now through.

These next two boys have that look of scorn on their face,
They seem to be thinking “we don’t like this place,
And these ugly white outfits for our picture we take.”
I can’t say as I blame them as they don’t look too great..

This little dude is giving the camera a mean stare,
Perhaps he is thinking “If they make me look over there,
Holding this stupid egg, a mean look is all they get.
He looks like he wants to throw it at the camera set.

These guys are looking at the camera with contempt.
Seeming to think “look at that man, such a wimp,
Shaking that stupid doll trying to make us smile.”
I think the camera man got tired of waiting after a while.

This pretty young lady seems to be almost in tears,
Perhaps thinking, “that camera guy looks like a bear,
Keep him far away from me or I will bawl very loud.”
Back in those days they hadn’t heard of the cloud.

This young lady looks like she is just a little bit amazed,
Thinking “what is that box and man looking so dazed.
Can he really make my picture with that ugly thing,”
I guess it would have awed me as the image it did bring.

.

This guy looks like he might have a stomach ache.
Cutting the cheese to give him a gas pressure break,
That may give him the relief he needs to feel better.
Allowing him to be still and be a good picture setter,

This guy seems like he may be a little humiliated.
Thinking “do you expect me to sit here and be shot,
With that thing with a cannon coming out the front”
As he looked at his Mom and let out a big old grunt.

.

This next young man looks just as happy as he can be.
Thinking “wow I found a new toy with which to play,”
I’ll just grab that thing I found and hold on so tight.”
That’s a smart kid and I think that he’ll turn out right.
