Made My Goal

Made My Goal

.

I was shooting for 1000 blogs before I did shut down,
This story of my life from old memories I have found.
My next blog after this one will be blog number 1025,
So I guess I overshot my goal as my memory did thrive.

There will be one more blog and our Christmas Poem too,
Before Hawg Jaw finally can say that I am really through.
After all I have told my story and written it all down,
With a little yucky stuff at times my mind sometimes found.

“I lean forward and get up on the balls of my two feet,
To start the flow moving faster which feels so neat.
At about half way out, l lean back fast to speed the flow,
Then I hear a loud splash as the first one lets go.”

.

There was a tall tale or two added when I felt so wild,
That perhaps stemmed from when I was a young child.
As I heard lots of good stories from family back then,
That were hanging in my mind’s eye making me grin.

“We then saw the big rattlesnake coiled in the grass ready to strike,
Right where Craig’s foot would have stepped on the grassy site.
Hugo had saved Craig’s life with his very quick doggie reaction.
Hugo Leo Lardo Low was a hero and we were proud of his tracking.”

I threw in a few Billericks about family and old friends,
Hoping that I might even make some of them grin.
There was a game or two that I made up all by myself,
To provide some brain teasers from off of my shelf.

“There once was an old man by the name of Gene,
Who would hit you with his back hand so clean,
As he talked to you sitting while driving in a car.
Not realizing he was bruising you if you drove far.”

I found it convenient to use the blog as a good method,
To relay health information to family and friends so good,
Hoping some were reading the blog as it did publish,
All that cared seemed to get the information, I guess.

“My friend Pace Maker now travels everywhere with me,
And keeps me comfortable as I do fun things so easily.
He keeps my heart beat at a steady 70 beats per minute
Pumping lots of my red blood just where I do need it.”

Sometimes I wrote blogs with a honkytonk star song,
On every line of a story poem to challenge me on along.
It was fun for me as I loved the songs I did write about,
But most people likely thought it was boring, no doubt.

“After that he was often heard to say I’ve got “Linda On My Mind
Thinking to himself “I’d Love To Lay You Down” feeling so fine.
He told her “I See The Want Too In Your Eyes” like a real man,
Then he caressed her soft silky black hair with his “Slow Hand“.

I used my blog to show Bighead toons I had drawn,
That likely made most people out there just yawn.
But, it occupied my wrinkled old mind and kept me sane,
Giving me something to do so I didn’t feel my pains.

“Jim Bob” could be old Hawg Jaw when he was a boy,
With a baited cane pole as fishing brought him joy.
As he headed on down to Butler Creek to catch fish,
In Sulphur Springs fulfilling a strong boyhood wish.”

.

Sometimes I used my blog to predict things so true,
Like Trump would be elected president for me and you,
And the Cavilers would beat the Warriors for the NBA win,
I missed a few more than I got right, but it’s no sin.

“In November, 2016, a Republican president will be elected,
Our Nation will start to recover soon after he is selected.
It will take time because of the mess democrats did make.
But we will see progress for our own grandchildren’s sake.”

.

But mostly my blog was about my life’s true adventures,
Both good and bad that I actually lived, that’s for sure.
I think I may have gone stark raving mad as I did age,
If I didn’t have my blog so I could write another page.

“In 1949, I was in Mrs Adams class in the very first grade.
I was a very shy young man that my internal fears made.
One time I needed to pee so bad that my pants I did wet,
Because I was afraid to ask in front of the class, I regret.”
.

.

I apologize to all who found some of my blogs offensive,
As that surely was not old Hawg Jaw Bill’s objective.
I just wrote what I was feeling at that particular time,
As I too, like you, have mood swings not feeling so fine.

.

I won’t say that this is the absolute end once again,
As I may get so bored that I may again my blog begin.
But don’t wait out there with your hand on your chin.
Because this could be the absolute final blog end.
