Low Roots
.
Perhaps, there is not too much pride left in a sir name today,
But, it is still important to know from whence we came, I say.
So this poem offers some of the Low history for your review.
You might see some of your ancestors in this short poem too.

Low Roots
.
My daughter Kristi has done some looking in to my ancestors.
There were some pretty scruffy characters on my tree roster.
Making me wonder how I ever turned out to be so good looking.
Perhaps I just got the best DNA through nature’s home cooking.
.
.
.
My Great Great Grandfather born in the year 1814 was Ivan Low.
Ivan was a bit scruffy with a beard like I also wear for show.
He married a very pretty lady born in 1819 named Hannah Price.
They wore fine clothes in their picture, so they both look nice.
.
.
My Great Great Grandfather Ivan Low and his Wife Hanna (Price) Low born in the early 1800’s. When they took pictures then, they told them to look as mean as possible. Smiles were a No No.

.
My Great Grandfather was Leander Low, a nice looking guy.
Leander had a mustache similar to one I wore, I tell you no lie.
He married a fine young lady in his day named Elizabeth Slatten.
He preferred busty women as you can tell as she was not a flat one.
.
.
My Great Grandfather Leander Low and his wife Elizabeth (Slatten) Low. They had progressed to just a good hard stern look for pictures by then.
.
.
.
..
My Grandfather named Frank Low was the first relative I recall.
He wore a big Stetson felt hat, Khaki pants, and was very tall.
He married a lovely lady I called Grandmother named Lucy Page.
She was the greatest cook I had ever known at my young age.
.
.
My Grandfather Frank Low and his wife Lucy (Page) Low. I think I see just the slightest smile.

.
.
My Dad was Walter Low but his Mom Lucy, nicknamed him Bill.
He was a handsome young man with a big void in his life to fill.
So he married Malelia Kendrick who was a beauty back then,
And they loved each other as they wanted a nice family to begin.
.
.
My Father Walter Low and Malelia (Kendrick) Low. Looks like it’s okay to smile for pictures in their era..

.
.
Along about 1943, William Low was born to Malelia and Bill Low,
He was a fat good looking baby living the good life on the go.
In 1973, he married Pamala Barringer, a sweet nice looking lady,
It wasn’t too long after that that we were blessed with a baby.
.
.
That’s William Low and Pamala ( Barringer) Low. Looks like I reverted back to the stern look, But Pam gave us a smile big enough for both of us..

The featured picture at the top provides pictures of our girls
Kristi and Tamara Low before they both gave marriage a whirl.
Right below them are their respective families that we love so.
But in that large group, there is not even a one named Low.
.
.
.
So brother Craig Low and Rhonda must carry on our name sake,
Through their two sons Chris and Nicholas and sons they make.
So keep those boys coming as there’s not many of us Lows left.
Five or six more boys sounds pretty good to this old family chef.
