Respiratory Vibrations

Respiratory Vibrations

.

I hate it when others respiratory vibrations keep me up nights,
Trapped in an area with that snorting and snoring is not right.
This poem describes some of my bad nights not feeling well,
When I was trapped with a snorer that put me through hell.

Respiratory Vibrations

.

When all is peaceful and quiet when sleeping in my bed so tight,
The loud call of the Little Woman often wakes me up at night.
It’s not a cute lady like purr, but the loud snorts of a big old hog,
Snoring so loud that the whole room is jumping like a bull frog.

I lay there trying to sleep with that terrible call of the wild boar,
Vibrating my brain to the point I can no longer stand the snores.
So I get up and find ear plugs and cover my head with a pillow
Trying to block out the awful sound of that ugly loud bellow.

.

.

.

The sounds just grow louder the harder I try to muffle it out,
The “Muuaaaaaak Ka Ka Ka” is driving me crazy and I want to shout
“Pam wake up and stop that awful snorting” so I can go to sleep,
But, I hold off and try the approach of counting jumping sheep.

Nothing seems to work and my eyes and ears are burning bad,
So I get braver and reach over and shake her shoulder a tad.
She hollers “leave me alone” loud and I had one minute of silence,
Then the moose calling starts back up louder testing my patience.

.

I give up and get out of bed and head for my reclining easy chair,
After closing the door tight, I grab a blanket on the way there.
Finally, silence allows me to drop right off to sleep feeling fine,
I should have moved in here two hours ago for my peace of mind.

Ahhhhh finally some peace and quite, I’m going to sleep now.

Perhaps my sensitivity to snoring stems from when I was a child.
When my Aunt Thelma came to visit, her snoring was very wild,
It was so loud that I just could not sleep anywhere in our house,
So I moved out to my Dad’s camper and then slept like a mouse.

I recall on a trip to New Guinea, I had to double up in a room,
The guy snored so loud, I just could not sleep in that gloom.
I thought about doing bad things to that guy that terrible night,
But I just suffered and held on as I knew that action wasn’t right.

Ben, will you run into the living room to see what that awful noise is coming from in there. Sounds like a hog rooting around.

Recently, we went on a trip to Fort Worth with family members.
We stayed in a suite with my daughter’s family as I remember.
Both Pam and Carl snored extremely loud in an all night duel,
Depriving me of sleep and just making me feel like a big fool.

When these two started snoring in tandem at the Great Wolf Lodge suite, it was like an earthquake vibrating me off the bed. No sleep that night.

.

.

..

I’ve heard some people say that I have been known to snore,
But this can not be true because there is nothing I hate more.
I think they just want to agitate me to keep me from yelling so,
When I wake them to tell them to stop that loud snoring, you know.

Nothing but sweet silence when this old man sleeps.

..

There is nothing more miserable than being trapped with a snorer,
Having to endure that noise all night long is just dreadful torture.
Even though I know it is something that can’t be controlled much,
It just drives me insane giving me thoughts of gagging them up.

imageOkay, whoever is snoring is the next hog out to the butcher. Knock it off now.
