Gene And Linda

Gene And Linda

.

We clog danced with Gene and Linda for many long years,
In the Misques And The Cuties always getting loud cheers,
The fun we had along our way fills me with much joy still
So I’ll tell about some fun things they did with Pam and Bill.

Gene And Linda

.

When we danced with T Town Country Cloggers together,
We all became such very good friends with one another.
Every year at Christmas, Gene dressed as old Santa Claus,
To visit with all the kids there at Willow Hall as his cause.

.image

Ho, ho, ho, old Santa  Claus has arrived.

.

.

.

..

He arrived at the Hall in a sliver Honda all decked on out,
As a reindeer with a red nose, antlers, and ears, no doubt.
The kids all loved the show he put on for them that day,
Then they sat on his knee asking for things for their play.

Rudolf, my red nosed reindeer, always arrives on time.

.

.

.

When the kids were done, some ladies got on his knee,
And whispered something in his ear that made him happy.
Gene never told me what the ladies said to him that day,
But he hugged each of them before he went on his way.

.imageSanta Gene”s reindeer delivering him with jingle bells ringing. This was likely Linda’s idea. That reindeer in front is good looking.

.

.

.

..

The Misques performed at Mountain View home one time,
Near Christmas and Gene was Santa for that group so fine.
One geezer in a wheel chair told him what he wanted then,
Asking Santa for the funny lady in red called Linda for him.

The old geezer in the wheel chair had his eye on the lady in the red dress,.

.

.

.

.

..

Linda was.a major part of our clog show out on the road,
She broke out of the clog group and mingled in the crowd.
Entertaining them with her ability making them happy.
Everyone loved Linda’s antics as we danced real snapp
y.

They call me Linda big boy, are you having fun?

.

..

.image

Excuse me ladies, I think I see a man over there.

.

Look  girls, I caught a live one and he wants to dance.

Give me five there partner, we’re going to have a free style at the end of our show for the kids.

Linda always found someone to interact with her near by,
The crowd loved those fun crazy things she did often try.
We were always watching Linda as she did things her way,
As we danced there behind watching her while she played.

.image

Howdy Mam, could I please has this dance?  Surely young man, but don’t step on my toes with your big feet.

.

..

.image

Hey Ann she’s at it again, I wonder what she’ll do this time.

.

.

..image

.Doc, just because they’re big doesn’t mean I’m nursing.

.

.

.

.image

Your Miscues are doing a good job out there dancing, aren’t they?.

.

.

.

.

.

.

I recall one show we did at a place called Taylorsville,
Near Stillwater way on out in the wild country so still.
Gene and Linda irritated the law until their temper was frail.
And they hauled them both off and put them in the jail.

.image

I’m sorry I mouthed off to you sheriff.  It’s too late sir, you’re going to jail.

.

.

.image

Lady, you are going to have to quit causing a commotion or you’re going to jail.

.

.

..imageOkay lady, you had your warning,  now it’s off to jail.
.

.

.

.image

Hey, let me out of here. Tell Bill and Pam to come and bail me out.

.

.

.

We had a good time as we performed our fun clog show,
Just dressing up silly made us feel like kids I do know,
So we acted crazy before, during, and after we performed,
Doing this care free show seemed to make us transform.

.image

Hey Bill, how did you get that whole jaw breaker in your mouth?

.

.

.image

Hi guys, we’re just out for a stroll on this beautiful day.

.

.

.imageTell me again what I’m fishing for under there?
.

..
.image Gene, what’s Linda doing to that poor guy over there?
.

.

.

..imageBill, please don’t suck your thumb in public, it embarasses me?
.

.

.

..imageLinda, show me again that stance you use to get the guys attention.
.

.

..image
Now open up Gene and eat that yummy worm..

.

.image

Hey Danny, play Old Time Rock And Roll and let’s boogie a little.

.

.

.image

.There’s no way I’m going to wear that thing, Linda.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

This made us closer friends than we ever did know,,
When we get together now and recall the old shows,
It’s like we are suddenly young acting silly once again,
Just laughing out loud at the crazy things we did then.

.image

.We had so much fun together over the years. We will love you guys forever. This picture was taken after our performance at the Tristate Fair in Tulsa.

.

.

.

.

.

.

So Gene and Linda you can expect another visit very soon,
To go back in time once more and sing some of our tunes,
As we recall those great memories that fly in from above.
I think old people should never ever forget those do we love.
