Eating Out With Pam

My wife Pam has some unusual eating habits on the go,
When we eat out in nice restaurants, this I do know.
Maybe they seem strange because they differ from mine,
I guess we all seem a bit strange, as we walk our own line.

Eating Out With Pam

Pam has always loved to eat fine food, there is no doubt,
I always finish eating long before Pam when we go out.
She tells me it’s because she likes to each bite savor,
As that’s the only way you can really enjoy the flavor.

This place is a little fancier than we are used to.

When Pam orders mashed potatoes in the small cafes,
She always orders the white gravy on the side each day,
As she likes to take tiny little bites and dip then in gravy,
Really enjoying her food longer, which seems a little crazy.

You are just going to have to take bigger bites or we’ll be here all day.

Pam specifies eggs to order her in own special way,
She orders them over medium well as she does say,
“Be sure there is no runny white left in the yolk, today,
Or I’ll send them back to the cook for an instant replay.”

Yes, the cook at Eggberts always cooks my medium well eggs perfect!

When the special order eggs arrive, she chops them up,
Into tiny pieces with yellow runny yolk all over the yuck.
When I ask her why she does her eggs that way to eat,
She said “that’s the way my mother did it, oh so sweet.”

Come on Pam, eat your eggs just one time without chopping them up.

If Pam orders her eggs scrambled when out on the town,
She always eats them with hot jalapeños on down.
I always get jalapeños for my sausage and onion omelet,
So I share the peppers with her for the spice that we get.

Is that enough jalapeños for you this time Pam?

If we ate out, Pam ordered “well done” prime rib at times
When they brought that special cut of meat so very fine,
With au jus in which to dip that very tender cut of meat,
Pam asked for some ketchup to make her meal complete.

The Chef said “first she wants my perfect prime rib well done and then she wants ketchup?”

We sometimes eat at White River Fish Market on Sheridan,
And Pam always orders popcorn shrimp so very grand.
When she eats them she always leaves a pile of tails,
Because she says that’s where asshole used to prevail.

Pam, if you eat all of those popcorn shrimp today, you’ll have a big pile of assholes left on your plate.

We often go out to “Ocean China” in our town here.
We have been going there for over thirty long years.
And Pam always orders the same thing each time we go,
That’s sesame chicken with steamed rice and a spring roll.

Well, it’s what I like best so why order anything else.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

You would think in all those years she would have tried,
One other item on their large menu that’s deep fried.
But she knows what she loves and she never does stray.
I think I’ve tried everything they have along our way.

 

 

 

 

 

.

So you see, Pam loves to eat as do I out on the town,
As that good food always takes away our old frowns.
I guess her eating habits are not that strange now at all,
But you can decide for yourself, as its your own call.

Yummy Dummy Do, these red beans and rice are so good, it’s true.
