Corn Goulash
.
When Pam is out, I often cook up a pot of corn goulash,
As Pam hates that corn goulash that I do love so much.
Today I fixed a pot that was just so very delicious to me.
So I’m sharing my recipe so you can try it out and see.

Corn Goulash
First get out a big aluminum bowl to mix stuff together in.
Put in 1 1/2 cups of elbow macaroni with a great big grin,
Then add a can of petite cut stewed tomatoes in there too.
Then add one can of tomato sauce and mix it in the brew.

.
.
.
.
.
Now add 1/2 teaspoon of ground oregano right in on top,
And 1/2 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of sugar for pop.
Add salt and pepper to taste and mix all that stuff well.
Set it aside to let that little elbow macaroni begin to swell.
.
.
.
.
..
.
In a two quart pan, place 1 pound of lean hamburger meat,
And 1/4 onion chopped and turn on the medium high heat.
Brown that meat until all pink is gone and drain the grease.
Now pour in the stuff in the aluminum bowl, if you please.

.
.
.
.
.
.
Add 1 can of green giant whole kernel sweet corn and juice,
And blend it all together until the mixture is very loose.
Turn on the medium high heat and bring it to a good boil,
While stirring all the time until it comes to a low slow roll.
.
.
.
.
Turn that heat to a medium low and continue to cook,
Until that elbow macaroni grows big as you do look,
Stirring frequently until the macaroni no longer grows,
This cooking usually takes about 30 minutes or so.

..
When the corn goulash is done take it off of that heat,
And stir in 1/2 cup of ketchup to make it a little sweet.
Then get you a big old bowl and dish some out to eat.
And give you and your whole family a great big old treat.

This recipe is very similar to corn goulash my Mom made,
I guess I still like it for the days at home when I still played.
I ate two big bowls of corn goulash a while ago for lunch,
Now I feel satisfied, tonight I’ll have more, I have a hunch.
