Companies A Comin’

 

 

Craig (my brother) and Rhonda are going to stop by here,
To spend a few days after a visit in Houston down there.
We are expecting them on Monday evening for sure,
So we’re cooking fried potatoes and a ham, honey cured.

Companies A Comin’

 

We are looking forward to seeing them in these fine times,
We invited the Taylor’s to dinner on that day so fine.
As they too are anxious to see them while they are here.
As we dine and talk about news and memories so fair.

We plan to cook a good breakfast of sausage and eggs,
First thing Tuesday morning for Rhonda and Craig.
And talk about old times as we sip breakfast coffee,
And remember our beloved family in heaven, you see.

We thought we might go over to Pawhuska on Tuesday,
To check Pioneer Woman’s new place over that way.
She has a nice Mercantile store and a mighty fine cafe,
With some of Pioneer Woman’s best recipes, they say.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

We headed over there last time to see Pioneer Woman’s Place,
But it didn’t open until a month too late, so I had a red face.
We did find Bad Brads Barbecue which was quite good,
As a substitute for Pioneer Woman’s excellent food.

As Craig and Rhonda have been traveling the world over,
We’re not sure what Bartlesville might have to offer,
There is no Great Wall here for us all climb and see,
We are anxious to hear all about their travel story.

We saw a while back where Craig went to culinary school,
Learning how to prepare those Mexican dishes so cool.
Perhaps Craig may want to prepare a fine meal here,
I could round up the ingredients and get some cold beer?

We also saw Rhonda on her great adventure one day,
When she rode that zip line on the ship all the long way.
I must admit I was very envious of Rhonda on that line,
But I’m afraid I am over the line weight limit all the time.

We will make it back down to Weeze’s Cafe, if we can,
For the best breakfast they have in this town again,
With that old down home cooking hard to find anymore.
I guess Flat Stanley won’t be there with the blue tie he wore.

I remember back in 2006 when we all went on that cruise,
We all looked pretty good and their Casino was loose.
And we took that excursion Salmon fishing on the side.
That was some kind of a special family boat ride.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

So we will have a Low family reunion again on Monday,
If the good Lord is willing and something does not go astray.
Until then, we will just continue to do our own thing,
And maybe l will finish this new blog before our fling.
