Bartlesville Buffalo

For the past few years a lot of new buffalo have shown up,
All over Bartlesville town, causing the traffic to disrupt,
As people slow down to take a better look to see,
These colorful psychedelic beauties standing proudly.

Bartlesville Buffalo

A while back we stopped downtown with Sarah and Ben,
Our grandchildren that were staying with us back then,
To check out the two Buffalo on the corner, standing.
Ben liked the blue “Woolaroc” with wings for landing.

Sarah just adored “The Love Ville” all pink and cute,
With those long eyelashes, white horns and boots.
Sarah looks real nice standing by that buffalo brute,
Kind of like an angel beside a monster in a pink suit.

Just up the street stands a psychedelic colorful buffalo,
Out in front of a church with blooming flowers for show.
The Buffalo is covered with birds and flowers of all kinds.
It’s a very beautiful piece of art that really does shine.

Further up the road in near the community center,
Is a group of three fun buffalo that are real winners.
Looking like a colorful herd roaming on the grass.
In the new home they found in Oklahoma with class.

One is an OSU orange cow poke buffalo looking so great.
The other two represent Oklahoma, our fine state.
The white one has words from our state musical song.
That we all loved from way back in the past, so long.

Down further to the north on Dewy Street is another,
Fun Buffalo just standing there looking like no other.
With a blue baseball cap and red shirt just shining,
Looking like he’s ready to play another exciting inning.

As we were leaving, we passed Adams and Cherokee,
Where we saw another small herd looking stately.
There was a very patriotic buffalo in red white and blue,
And a yellow and black buffalo with red dots too.

After looking downtown, we headed to Sooner Park,
And found a Buffalo in a Trojan helmet in green so dark.
The kids climbed up that big tower high in the air.
That was moving at the top and gave them a scare.

 

Look closely, Ben and Sarah are up there.

When Craig and Rhona were in town a while ago.
We found another buffalo out at the Osage Casino.
Craig and I posed in back of that cool Osage buffalo,
As did Pam and Rhonda while we were out on the go.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

 

 

.

I think now there are more that 40 Buffalo in town,
Springing up new all over out there now to be found.
If your up this way, drive around and take a look to see,
How many you can find here in Bartlesville country.
