Apple TV and AirPlay
AirPlay on the iPad allows you to stream videos and music directly from the iPad to your big screen TV and surround sound system through the Apple TV. One of my favorite things to do is to start the iCloud photos on a slideshow and start one of my country music playlists on Spotify ( to be discussed later) from the iPad and switch it to AirPlay. This puts the music on the TV sound system. This puts my favorite photos and my favorite country music playing together. I grab a six pack
out of the refrigerator and sit and enjoy it all together. This is like going to Geezer heaven. Seniors can get in a little honky tonkin at home this way.
Over the years, I have down loaded a lot of instant video movies from Amazon, iTunes etc to my iPad. These can be watched on the TV if desired using AirPlay with the Apple TV. I usually don’t since they are available on Netflix, Amazon or iTunes apps already.
Two of our grandsons attended preschool in the Dallas area. About two to three times a year they are/were involved in great plays at the school. The school televises the plays on the internet which I can pick up on my iPad. Using AirPlay, I am able to see them do their acting on the big screen. These two young men are so talented, we don’t want to miss any of the details of the shows. If you have grandchildren, you can get some real enjoyment out of Air Play. Some photos of the boys in their special costumes worn in the plays are shown below to show you how special this is to us.
Here are simple instructions to start enjoying AirPlay with your Apple TV.
Thank you for reading Apple TV and AirPlay.
