A Beautiful Day

Yesterday was a beautiful day as I got some great news,
We had a nice lunch, and visited good friends so true.
We visited my doctor in Tulsa about aneurism size,
Then had dinner with family and grandkids on the fly.

A Beautiful Day

We headed over to Tulsa for a 1:15 PM lunch target,
To meet our daughter at White River Fish Market.
But Kristi called and said Ben hurt his ankle in class,
And she had to go take Ben to the doctor real fast.

White River Fish Market with fantastic seafood.

So we headed on in the Fish Market Restaurant to dine,
On some of their really fresh seafood so very fine.
Pam got popcorn shrimp and red beans and rice,
And I got popcorn shrimp and seafood gumbo so nice.

Yummy Dummy Do, such great seafood.

The food was just great and we headed to St John’s,
For my appointment with Doctor Garrett on the run.
My date at 3 PM was to see if my aneurism had grown,
We were early and I checked in at the desk on my own.

I hope this doesn’t take too long.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

We waited for about 5 minutes and got right on in there,
My blood pressure was great taken with much care.
The doctor came in and said my aneurism had not grown,
Making it one of the most beautiful days I have known.

Not too many people here, maybe we’ll get right in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

As I was feeling so happy after the good news we were told,
We headed on over to Gene and Linda’s to share the gold.
We watched some old DVDs of the Misques way back,
And we all had a very serious old fart laughing attack.

Those were the days my friends. We hoped they’d never end.

 

 

 

 

 

Hello Gene and Linda, you are looking so good.

Linda read a few blogs about Misques as we had a ball,
Enjoying our time there together really loving it all.
I have come to love these short visits with our friends,
And I hope they will never have to come to an end.

Kristi invited us over for Chinese food for our dinner,
And we headed there knowing it would be a real winner.
We checked on Ben and he seemed to be doing fine,
Laying on the couch being pampered at that time.

Ben was on the couch taking it easy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

The Chinese food was very good spiced up just right.
As we gobbled in down until our stomachs were tight.
We had double decker ice cream cones for our desert,
Topping off a wonderful meal with a self satisfied spurt.

We were blessed with two great meals on this beautiful day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

We visited with family and grandkids an hour or so,
To end an almost perfect beautiful day on the go.
And headed home feeling like everything went our way,
Enjoying ourselves so much on this very Beautiful Day.

We had a great time, thanks for that meal so fine.

Oh and I forgot to mention that we had a good rain,
And the temperature topped out at 75 as the rain came.
As I sang “Oh, what a beautiful mornin'” feeling so good,
Just like an old man of 74 years really always should.
