Family Christmas Poem 2016
.
Each year when Christmas time is growing very near
It’s time to put together a few verses about our year,
To share with friends and family about which we care.
So for 2016, we say “Merry Christmas” to you all out there.

Family Christmas Poem 2016
This year of 2016, was a good year for us two here in our nest.
Our grandchildren all continue to seek to be the very best.
All four are straight A students always acing all their tests.
We are so proud of their accomplishments here in the west.
Our brilliant, good looking grandchildren, Ben and Sarah on the left and Zack and Luke on the right.
.
In early June we had our annual family fun outing,
To Beavers Bend Park on Broken Bow Lake, no doubt.
We swam, fished, canoed, and went to Bills favorite bar,
To pick up Pizza for the family after a few beers there.
Our beautiful cabin we leased on the mountain near Big Beaver Park. Those stairs were a little rough on Bill.
.The Pizza place near our cabin with the coldest beer in town and the best pizza in a hundred miles. Wayco, Tamara, and Bill toasting a great family rendezvous.
My favorite thing to do was to sit on the porch having fun,
With the grandkids in the early morning light of the sun,
Calling to the whippoorwills and cardinals as they answered,
Our whistle calls that we perfected and nicely delivered.
Wayco and Bill on the porch where Bill and his grandchildren talked to the whippoorwills in early morning.
.
.
Our cabin was very nice with Wi Fi for all to use there,
We remember one event down by where the canoes were.
When a nice young lady in a bikini caught our Carl’s eye,
As the scene was captured by Tamara on the sly.
That’s Carl on top left sneaking a peek at the bikini, with various family members in the canoes on the right. Bottom left is Kristi and Sarah with a fish they caught.
.
We always have fun just kidding around as a family,
As we do our own thing enjoying ourselves completely,
We grilled steaks out on the porch with a propane grill,
Oh, and Carl got stung on the nose by a wasp, he killed.
That’s Kristi and Tamara on top left preparing the meal. Pam and Kristi are getting ready to grill steaks on top right. In the top middle is Carl nursing his wasp stung nose. Bottom right is the dead red wasp. The grandkids are having fun on the balcony porch in the bottom left.
.
We went fishing with the grandkids several times this year,
The grandkids love fishing as much as we do, that’s clear.
They love the outdoors and catch more fish than Bill.
It agitates Bill some, but it still gives him a big thrill.
Some pictures of the family having fun with the little fish.
.
We went to many activities that the grandkids were in,
All of them have so much talent it amazes us time and again.
They all seem like a future extension of our own selves,
Extending our own life traits to long after our own deaths.
This is our crew from left to right: Sarah, Pam, Bill. Tamara, Wayco, Zack, Luke, Ben, Carl. and Kristi.
.
It seems like our year 2016, was all about our Grandchildren,
But Wait, that’s what it’s all about at age sixty four plus ten.
What in the world would it be like to have none of them?
We thank God we are blessed with the best four grandchildren.
.
Bill’s aneurysm of the iliac artery is under close scrutiny,
It has not grown larger which is just great you see.
His pacemaker is allowing new hair growth everywhere,
And he hasn’t even had a cold since they put it in there.
.
We hope you all have a very merry Christmas Day
And may all your wishes come true along your way.
We are thankful to have had many friends and family,
That have made our long lives so fine and dandy.
Merry Christmas to all,
Bill and Pam
