Rhonda

My brother Craig married Rhonda up there in Las Vegas
On one joyous day because she was so very gorgeous.
Their love had bloomed and they were right for each other.
It was easy to see they were so in love with one another.

In 1974 after I had been married to Pam for a year are so,
I had noticed Craig had been acting strange for a while,
He was drinking Slim Fast and losing weight real fast.
He was so trim, looking better than he had in the past.

Craig invited us to his home surprising us to no end,
To spend the evening with him and his new girlfriend.
We first met Rhonda at Fritch in Craig’s trailer house,
She seemed perfect for Craig as his future spouse.

The night was fun and as a couple they seemed to sing.
Not too long after that night, they tied the knot with a ring.
And Rhonda became a part of our very happy family,
Beginning our long relationship with Rhonda, you see.

For a short while, both our families lived in Bartlesville,
Rhonda fixed us all Thanksgiving dinner at her own will.
I loved all those good things that Rhonda fixed us to eat,
Oh, I guess Craig may have helped too as he is so sweet.

.
I learned some things about Rhonda’s eating habits along,
Foremost is that she hates any kind of fish so very strong.
Rhonda also uses tabasco pepper sauce on everything,
In quantities that burn most palettes with so much zing.

Rhonda had two young children that she and Craig raised,
Named Buffy and Christopher who they often did praise.
Nicholas was born after they had been married sometime,
To add to the family that was now living in their prime.

I recall one time when we went to Las Vegas to have fun,
A mime followed me at New York, New York on the run.
Rhonda was laughing so loud at me being mimed there,
And I didn’t even know it was happening, I really do swear.
.
Silence is bliss.

Rhonda and Pam got one of those giant frozen drinks,
Then they drank them on down faster that you may think,
Rhonda got rowdy acting up on the Strip with my Pam,
While Craig and I enjoyed the show as they really did jam.
.
Can you belive they chugged the whole thing?

After Mom and Dad passed away, their house I tried to sell,
It was on the market over a year, and it just felt like hell.
Rhonda came up with a brilliant plan to make the sale,
And we sold it in a month, to end this very happy tale.

We took a long Alaskan Cruise together up north to play,
Craig and I went to fish for King salmon in the big cold bay,
While Rhonda and Pam wrapped their naked bodies tight,
With plastic to lose a few pounds while feeling so right.

I enjoyed the Alaskan cruise with Rhonda and my brother,
As much as anything I have ever done with any others,
With the formal evening dinners that were so very good,
While riding my electric scooter as a crip like me should.

Over the years, we’ve have had lots of fun running around.
So Rhonda, it’s so great that your love we have all found,
As we traveled together through all of those long years,
While Craig and I drank all of those ice cold Coors beers.
