It’s nice to live close enough to very nice big Texas honky tonk way back in the Piney Woods where you can go to relax and have fun occasionally on a Friday night. Pam would get those “Friday Night Blues ” and be ready to go out by the time I got home from work on Friday night. Unlike the song, I was ready to go out too, so we always had a great time. My favorite aunt, Bueldine, was a master at telling stories. When she told a story she put her heart and soul into the effort. I heard many many Little Blue Blue stories that would always keep all the kids just mesmerized. The one she told on the tape in Houston (refer to “Station SLOB” blog) was my favorite and I shall attempt to reproduce it below. I will add phrases in parentheses to help explain where necessary. Our family has always been very close. For a number of years, we all vacationed in the South Fork, Colorado area. In the summer time there were as many as 25 of us together enjoying ourselves.
