Tick On The Scrotum

Tick On The Scrotum

Spending time in the great outdoors is always fun, but there is always the risk of picking up a few unwanted hitch hikers. The pesky critters sometimes find their way to critical parts of the body. This story discusses the  problems of a young man when this occurs.

Tick On The Scrotum

I would estimate that every young man out there has had at least one tick on their scrotum between the age of 8 and 12 years of age. It’s quite a crisis because no young man wants to go to his mother and let it all hang out while she picks a tick off his scrotum. On the other hand he doesn’t want to let his Dad think he can’t handle removal of a tiny tick from his ball bag on his own. So what to do? If he tries to pull it off himself, he might pull the body off the tick and leave the head embedded deep in his scrotum. Wow, this could result in a scrotum infection which could result in loss of the family jewels. This is totally unacceptable so how do you get the tick off and insure you get the head?

Although it was a little risky, here’s how I solved the problem. I got some wooden matches (sounds scary doesn’t it) and lit one, then I blew it out. I touched the hot tip of the match to the ticks ass and waited. He didn’t come out so I did it again, and still nothing. On the third match, he backed right of there. I picked him off and mashed him to smithereens. After it was over, I ended up with a small blister on my scrotum, but it was a small price to pay since I had saved the family jewels.

Now I had some experience and the next time one of pesky critters ended up in that area, I knew just what to do. However, if one shows up in that area today, I think I’d have to risk my wife Pam extracting it since my eyes are not so good anymore.

The worst possible place for a guy to get a tick. Kind of makes you cringe, doesn’t it?
