Riding Longhorn Bulls
.
Along about the year 2000, we took us a little Dallas Trip,
To visit our daughter Tamara, now riding there on a new ship,
Working for SpotPlus now as an OSU graduate doing great.
We were very anxious to see her and didn’t want to be late.
Riding Longhorn Bulls
.
Buffalo Bob, Brenda, and Chad met us there at the Holiday Inn,
Kristi came with Pam and I as our Dallas visit did then begin.
We were all out in the parking lot when our Tamara drove up,
In a brand new red Jeep Wrangler Sport with a nice skylight top.
.
After visiting and hugging a lot there in our room at Holiday Inn,
Tamara said “let’s go down town to see the Longhorns to begin.”
We headed on down town and when we arrived at that spot,
Chad asked a wrangler if we could see Longhorn Bulls so hot.
.
Tamara and I found the biggest bull there that looked so well fed,
Tamara held him by his nose holes while I petted his big head.
I think if she would have let go of those nostrils so fiery red.
Old Dad may have been speared with a horn ending up dead.
.
Chad then got ahold of that same big Bulls nose so very tight,
So his aunt Pam could strike a pose holding his horn just right.
They both look so happy with those big smiles on their face,
As the cowboy wrangler eyeballs them watching over the place.
.
That big bull by now was getting pretty tame standing out there,
So he was pretty calm as Buffalo Bob and Chad posed with care.
But I notice they both had on their Nike running shoes, I do swear.
It’s looks kind of like Buffalo Bob was about ready for a cold beer.
.
Kristi got in real close to a big longhorn bull looking so very nice,
As she always did have a way with animals with her special spice.
I guess Carl must have had to work when we went on that trip,
Or he would have been standing right there beside her right hip.
.
Chad was getting a little frisky standing by there on the outside,
So he hopped right on a longhorn bull back to take a little ride.
He is giving the “hook em horns” sign telling Tamara to hop on,
As she seems to be saying, “it’s too high, pull me up or I’m gone.”
.
Well, it looks like Chad was able to pull Tamara up on the bull,
As they are supporting the Texas Longhorns with smiles so full.
I think that guy you see there in the background so very clear,
Is telling them to get off the bull as they don’t belong on there.
.
Chad got on that big bull with his head dropped down so low,
But Pam clipped his face right in two as she took the photo.
But she got a perfect picture of both her daughters on that day,
As with their cousin Chad along with the bulls they all did play.
.
We did a lot of other fun things on that trip way on back then,
And Brenda managed to avoid the camera on that trip again.
I will find a good one and slip it in right here at the very end,
And I sure do hope that the picture addition will not her offend.
