Pamala Ann

Pamala Ann

It only takes about a half an hour to compose a poem about some of the traits of someone you love. The poems give me a chance to express myself, so I’ll be throwing one out there every once in a while.

Pamala Ann

I love my wife dearly and her name is Pamala Ann.
For 42 years she’s been my Soul Mate and held my hand.
She’s always been an attractive woman and a beauty to me.
Our daughters look like her and are also beauties, you see.
.
.
Pam loves her grandchildren with a deep passion inside.
She sees them as often as possible in their busy lives.
Holding and hugging them makes her especially happy,
And when she has to leave them she feels especially crappy.
.
.
Pam is like Will Rogers since she’s never met a stranger.
Sometimes this worries me because it could put her in danger,
But she’s so nice and charming to every person she meets,
That they walk away smiling with a bit of a strut in their feet.
.
.
Pam must be fed on time or she gets cranky as a bear.
I see that her meals are on time so she is always a dear.
We’ve grown old together, and know each other quite well,
If she eats beans, she passes gas that has stinky smells
.
.
She has always loved dancing and she got me started too,
We square danced, clogged, and two stepped right on cue.
We made many close friends as we danced in fun groups.
We shared many great times with our fun dancing troops.
.
.
Pam has a brother that we call Buffalo who likes to roam.
“Encyclopedia” is what we call her sister Darena from home,
It’s because she believes her answer is always the right one.
Darena gets a little grouchy if  challenged, but it’s all in fun.
.
.
Pam loves to dress up fancy from her toes to her head,
She has clothes  stashed in every room and under the bed,
When we go on a trip, she lays out her wardrobe for every day,
With a couple of extra outfits for emergencies let’s say.
.
.
When we were much younger and both still in our prime,
Pam was a fine cook and cooked fine meals all the time.
As we got older I began to like to cook some fine meals too.
Now we eat out so we don’t have a mess when we’re through.
.
.
Pam has a  white dog named Cutsie who used to like to play.
Now she’s old like us and has become very set in her ways.
Pam sometimes hollers loud trying hard to get her to mind,
But Cutsie just ignores her, rolls, and shows Pam her hind.
.
.
This woman called Pam is very special in our time of old age,
She helps me make it through the day as I write another page
In our story of life for the past 70 years of fun, strife, and love.
For our companionship, and children, I thank the Lord above.
