Our Rough Relatives

.

This first relative is my great great grandfather Low,
By the name of  Leander who lived in hard times, I know.
When horses were the primary transportation method.
And men had to work hard to keep their family fed.

The man on the right is my grandfather Roy Kendrick,
He was a big tall man with muscles so very thick.
Who operated a large crane for heavy lifting loads,
To make a very good living as through life he flowed.

The next relative is my great uncle Robert Walker,
Who was married to my great aunt Thelma, a big talker.
He worked around Onalaska, Texas, in different jobs,
And often rode a horse and wagon with his heart throb.

This is Grandfather Frank, Dad, and my Uncle Dean,
Dad is holding a fishing rod and maybe an eel to be seen.
This is maybe in Arkansas around Sulphur Springs,
Granddad looks rough, but the boys were cute little things.

Here is Dads brother Dean after to a man he did grow.
With that James Dean muscle teeshirt he really did glow.
I believe this to be shortly before he joined the Navy,
With his long brown hair that was a little bit wavy.

Here is my dear Dad looking just a little bit tough,
Holding a big fish that to me looks just a little rough.
How about those socks with the elastic worn out.
And that good looking hat for his son to talk about.

One time we went to an old farm in Oklahoma somewhere,
They had chickens, cows, and horses in barns there.
This man’s name was Butcher who lived on the farm,
Who was kin to my mother and treated us so warm.

These two rough looking farm hands from way back,
May be Pam’s Mom’s brothers in need of a sack,
To carry all of that sweet corn they picked that day.
They must have worked hard or maybe rolled in the hay.

This tough looking young man is my Pam’s Dad Bill,
He looks like he may be ready to punch you at will.
Bill told me one time that he fought a guy for hours,
When he was in high school feeling a little bit sour.

This young lady is Pam’s great aunt she called Katy,
From the stories I heard, she was a very tough lady.
She hunted and killed a big old brown bear and deer.
If you crossed her, she may even hunt you, my dear.
