More Places We Danced

.

The Misques had been dancing together a while now,
And we were still going more places as time did allow.
We learned many new dances, learning more all the time,
As we continued to improve our program, now so fine.

More Places We Danced

.

In 1994, we opened up Tulsa’s new Medical Center there,
In the south part of town at the celebration so fair,
Dancing in the road in the medical park with care,
To entertain all of those people making them stare.

Linda, quit waving to the crowd and clog, you can’t go out there on a circle dance.

.

In October that year, we danced at Coffeeville, Kansas,
At the Neewalloh celebration freezing our little asses,
As it was very cold out there in that street in the wind,
Shivering a little as we double toed and then cringed.

Hurry up and start the music, we’re freezing.

.

We did Skyline nursing home near Christmas Day,
As Santa and his reindeer did come on out to play,
Dancing “To Heck With Old Santa Claus” on our way,
And “PaPa Noel” for all those residents so very gray.

You guys look so cute with those reindeer ears and horns.

.

We opened up the new WalMart in Bartlesville town,
As Linda got in a shopping cart and I pushed her around.
Getting the crowds attention before boogying on down,
To put smiles on their faces as we acted like clowns.

Wait Linda, everyone else is going the other way.

.

We did Mayfest in 1995 out on that center plaza so neat,
As the big crowd watched the Misques fast moving feet.
To that “Texas Fiddle Song” that we all loved so much,
And “Dooley” by Porter Wagner with our fancy touch.

Wow Ann, old Bill’s got a super snuggie today.

.

We danced at the Green Country Retirement Home,
In Bartlesville later on that year as around we did roam.
Dancing every chance we got to strut our own stuff,
Even though sometimes it got just a little bit tough.

Clap way up high as we reach for the sky.

.

The Kolache Festival was a good exhibition we did adore.
At Prague, Oklahoma with weenies in pastry galore,
That we did in 1996 in front a a huge crowd so great,
With funny noses and mustaches for the guys and their mates.

We are dancing incognito today as in Prague we do play.

.

In 1996, we did the Tulsa Nursing Home to help out,
Entertaining the residents who loved us, no doubt,
As Linda always interacted with the folks in the crowd,
While we danced with much energy with the music loud.

My hat is dragging on the ceiling today as we clog dance to entertain these folks.

.

There was also Bartlesville Sunfest in the big dome,
That was here very close to our home sweet home.
In Sooner Park where the sun did shine very bright,
As we always did that exhibition in the morning light.

Hey George, those old people are dancing real fast. I wonder if we could do that?

.

In 1996, we did the Coffeeville, Kansas, Spring Fling,
Where we posed in the Gazebo before our taps did ring,
In the street just in front of that structure so cute,
Entertaining the big crowd again as our feet did scoot.

Lets try for a record number of Misques crammed in a Gazebo.

.

That year we did the Owasso nursing home once more,
Where R. L. had lots of that bad smelling gas galore,
As we clogged along there on their hard tile floor,
Trying hard not to gag as we double toed some more.

Shoo weee Linda, was that you smelling like pooh?

.

At the 1996 Octoberfest in Tulsa, we had a lot of good fun,
With free beer for the team before we started our run,
Entertaining that lively crowd of beer drinkers there,
Having the time of our life dancing, I really do swear.

We love all you Misques as our main attraction Saturday night at Octoberfest.

.

We danced at Tom Mix Day in Dewy, Oklahoma, too.
At the special activities planned the whole day through,
In the center of that small town on that big old street,
Starting with “Howdy Neighbor Howdy” with a special beat.

Hey guys, do you want to run in the race today after we dance?

.

We hit the Fin and Feather Club near Tenkiller Lake,
As one of our special clogging performance dates,
Inside their building where we danced in the club,
Then they fed us all some of their very fine grub.

Come on girls, raise those dresses a little higher and join the club as a high flyer.

.

In 1997, We clogged at the big Tulsa Tri State Fair,
Outside on a stage on a very cold night out there.
But we still had a giant crowd to cheer for us, I swear.
And it started to snow just when we left, I do fear.

If you look closely, you can see snow flakes flying there after our show, Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

.

We also did the Porter Peach Festival during that year,
In Porter, Oklahoma, not too far from Muskogee so near.
We had some really good peach ice cream that day,
After we danced in the street having fun all the way.

Hold on Linda, we need you to finish this one.

.

The last clog exhibition I recall doing was in 1998,
At Miami, Oklahoma, for the Frontier Days so great.
We had a great time that day cutting up and acting silly,
Not knowing it was the last exhibition for Pam and Billy.

Take a look at the ladies acting silly over there Gene. Do they think they’re Misque Queens?

.

I have barely touched on all our many dancing places,
We danced in Nowata, Pawhuska, and Coweta with graces,
There was Fort Scott, Muskogee, and Okmulgee in there too,
And many many more nursing homes that we all went to.

.

It was a long fun journey we all took out there together,
Having lots of fun and giving some fun back to others.
I will always remember those people with which we did dance,
Out there having family fun as we really did prance.
