Hawg Jaw Quips
.
Occasionally, the Hawg uses a few “quips” as he does talk,
Oh, you don’t know what a “quip” is as away you do walk?
Well, a “quip” is a remark that is considered somewhat witty,
Like “Twitty Bird” sometimes described singer Conway Twitty.

Hawg Jaw Quips
.
In this story poem, I will throw out a few quips I used at times,
That you may have even seen in my blogs that do rhyme.
The Hawg thinks these quips could possibly be slightly witty,
But if not, don’t make fun, just give him a little bit of your pity.
.
At times I say “Scuse um wa” when I beg someone’s pardon,
Using a french accent to make them feel like a mean warden.
To emphasize that I’m really not sorry for what I had just done,
To ruffle the feathers just a little bit disturbing that someone.
“Scuse um wa” Buffalo Bob, you’re right her schlonsky did pop out.
.
If you hear me say “Chichi bo fumbie” to someone somewhere,
You’ll know they have ruffled my feathers just a little out there,
And I am telling them to kiss my rosy red butt cheeks that day,
Based on a phrase an Indian boy told me in my youth to say.
“Chichi bo fumbie” big boy.
.
Looking in the mirror when I first get up in the early morning,
You might hear the Hawg say a strange quip without warning.
As “Don’t you ever die, you good looking mouse” is then heard,
In a morning ritual to get me started with some kind self words.
“Dont you you ever die, you good looking mouse.”
.
Back when I used to let my cowboy out on Friday at times,
Wearing my hat, boots, western shirt, and wranglers so fine,
After a few cold beers, I would look in the mirror and then say,
“If you’ve got, flaunt it”, just before honky tonking that day.
“If you’ve got it, flaunt it.”
.
When we had Monet’, that little black miniature poodle dog,
I had a quip I used that would make her wilder than a hog.
When I said “Does um wants go boop-a-rooder?” so loud,
And she knew she was going to go bye bye with our crowd.
“Does um wants go boop-a-rooder?”
.
After I got older there has been a quip that I have said often,
When referring to good things out there in the world I live in,
That were great like White River Fish Market’s seafood gumbo,
These fine things I referred to as “geezer pleasers” I loved so.
Seafood Gumbo is a real “geezer pleaser” for sure.
.
As I often played with my grandchildren while driving along,
I would say “Look, there’s Chucky Waters” so very strong,
When I really didn’t know the guy walking on down the street,
They soon got wise and said “you don’t know him” so sweet.
PoPo you don’t even know that guy and his name is not “Chucky.”
.
When my wife Pam put on a some pounds just a few years ago,
I used the quip “Little Woman” to make her feel better on the go.
That quip was then shorted to “L W” a while later as we rolled,
And finally to “L dub” with less syllables for a little more soul.
My you’re sure looking good today “Little Woman”.
.
After I’ve written down what I thought were quips so very witty,
I think I should now call them “Hawg Libs” for my own self pity.
As to me, they don’t sound witty at all as I proof read them all,
So Hawg Libs is probably much better, but I guess it’s your call.
