Others were as fast as a “Boogie Grass Band” sounding so fine.
He had a lot of songs about love like “Lovin’ On Borrowed Time“.

Conway Twitty started out singing rock as a “Lonely Blue Boy,”
He said “It’s Only Make Believe” that sounded a lot like Elvis so coy,
All the girls thought his rock sound was just so very “Heavenly”
With songs like “Mona Lisa“, but his heart was always so country.

He had found his calling as a singer even making “The Rose” country.
“Red Neckin’ Love Makin’ Night” was raw country at its best,
He saw Linda in those “Tight Fittin’ Jeans” with a feeling of zest.

After that he was often heard to say I’ve got “Linda On My Mind”
Thinking to himself “I’d Love To Lay You Down” feeling so fine.

So “Lead Me On” until “All The Fire Is Gone” and I’m an old man.
