Beavers Bend 1

This morning we’re heading south to meet the rest of our family for an annual get together for fun in the sun. This story will develop as I tell it.

Beavers Bend 1

 

Today we drove down to a Cabin Tamara rented for our annual get together at Broken Bow Lake. We had a little trouble with the directions. We were supposed to turn on highway 259A which we did, but none of the landmarks matched the directions we received. We finally figured out there was a 259A into the park and one coming out of the park. We were on the wrong half. So far Pam and I, and Carl, Kristi, Ben and Sarah have arrived. Tamara, Wayco, Luke and Zack are on the way. The cabin is beautiful sitting on top of a mountain overlooking Broken Bow Lake. I just snapped a picture off of the back balcony. You can see the lake over the trees.

The view off the back balcony of the cabin of Broken Bow Lake is outstanding. I sat out there and soaked it in for  hour or so.

 

 

 

Kristi is in the kitchen starting supper. I think she’s fixing grilled pork chops, baked potatoes cowboy beans, black eyed peas, and grilled squash. I can hardly wait.  Ben and Sarah have found the pool table and games on the lower level. All the kids will likely be in the outside Jaccuzzi on the lower level soon.

Kristi in the kitchen starting the great supper she cooked up this evening. She looks as happy as a June Bug buzzing a porch light.

 

 

 

They have had a lot of high water lately so a lot of the normal attractions like the rental canoes and rental poon toon boats are not available yet. The trout fishing area is available so we will likely hit that tomorrow.

It’s so nice to be here with family and especially the grand children. For the next couple of days my blog will be fun to live and fun to write. Carl just fired up the to grill the pork chops

Let’s get those pork chops to grilling Carl. Make mine well done.

 

 

 

Tamara, Wayco, Luke and Zack just arrived and gave us all a big hug. Now the whole gangs here just in time for supper. The meal was super good.

Carl is firing up the fire in the pit outside for S’mores. I told him to use only one match to if he was still as good as he was when he was an Eagle Scout.

Out around the fire pit getting ready for s’mores. I couldn’t get everybody in so I made sure all the grand children were in the pictures. By the way, it took Carl two matches. He’s slipping!
