Granddaddy’s and Granddaughter’s Love
.
I ran across a poem Tamara wrote when my Dad died,
My Mom really loved it a lot, and it did make her cry.
Even though you may not understand all the things she does say,
The love she expresses just made all of the families day.
.
“Granddaddy’s And Granddaughter’s Love
.
What a very smart and sweet sweet man,
He always called me Tamara Anny.
He’s a fisherman, a father, a husband and all.
He used to tug on my pony tail.
.
He knows all the answers on Jeopardy,
Because he really knows his history.
He’s been surrounded by grandmothers wonderful art,
And remembers…’A toots just a little fart.’
.
He’s been around the world and back,
An engineer, a veteran, he doesn’t slack.
I admire this man to no end,
A granddaughter’s love you cannot break or bend.
.
He and Malelia made some pretty fantastic kids,
JerrylDine, Craig, and my dad, Bill, yes they did.
I cannot name a single fault.
Peckerwood soup and The Tennessee Waltz,
.
Always remind me of Walter Raymond,
What a sweet sweet, smart smart, brave brave man.
If I wanted him to know just one thing today,
It would be I adore him more than words can say.”

Maybe this inspired me to try my hand at Poetry.
