Peaceful Easy Feeling
Did you ever think about what it is that gives you that Peaceful Easy Feeling? I thought about it for a while and here’s what I came up with.
Peaceful Easy Feeling
I think the first time I experienced the feeling was when I was about five years old. I was a little afraid of the dark and I thought I had heard something moving around in my closet in my room. I had become really frightened and ran into my mothers bedroom crying. She picked me up and laid beside me and held me close for a while. I achieved that Peaceful Easy Feeling and dropped off to sleep.
There’s no place better to get that Peaceful Easy Feeling , than in your mothers loving arms.

When I was a youngster on those summer trips to Sulphur Springs, Arkansas, I always slept on a bed by myself on the screened in back porch. When I turned the light off, I could feel a cool breeze blowing through the screened in windows. I could plainly hear the crickets and the tree frogs chirping, and the occasional call of a distant whippoorwill. Laying there with my eyes closed in the cool breeze listening to the night sounds put me into that Peaceful Easy Feeling just before I dropped off to sleep.
Laying alone on a cool night in a beautiful green country area on a screened in porch listening to natures sounds of the night is a great place to achieve that Peaceful Easy Feeling.

When I was spending a lot of time working in Hoston, I would sometimes eat at a South American restaurant called Churascos. They had a desert called Tres Leches that would just float you off of your chair when you took a bite of it. For about an hour after I ate it I had that totally satisfied Peaceful Easy Feeling.
One bite of this utterly delightful desert called Tres Leches and you’re on your way to that Praceful Easy Feeling.

One summer when Pam and I were at the cabin in South Fork, Colorado. We decided to take a blanket and a lunch basket and walk into the Rio Grande National Forest and have lunch. It was a perfect 68 degree F day with a light breeze and we found a spot in the heavy pines to stop. We ate our lunch and both of us got to feeling frisky, so we did our thing right there in the woods on that blanket. It was really great, so we laid back on that blanket in the great out doors and got that Peaceful Easy Feeling for an extended period of time. Our bubble was burst when a huge bull elk came stomping through the pines and walked right up to us and then bolted and ran off. We headed on back to cabin still feeling pretty good.
Oh, excuse me for interrupting your Peaceful Easy Feeling that you achieved out here in the forest on this beautiful day.

When we took the Alaskan Cruise with my brother Craig and his wife, Rhonda, we spent a couple of days at the Alyeska Ski Resort north of Anchorage, Alaska. It was summertime but you could still ride up on the ski lift. We took the ride up and when we got to the top we were the only two couples up there. The Alaskan view off the top was the finest scenery I have ever seen. As we stood there in awe of the almost perfect view, I got that Peaceful Easy Feeling to the depths of my soul. We must have stayed up there an hour taking it all in.
This awesome view of Cook Inlet with the mountains in the background from atop the Alyeska Ski Lift area caused me to drift into that Peaceful Easy Feeling.

Last, but not least, when I listen to the Eagles sing their song called “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” I find myself drifting off into my own Peaceful Easy Feeling because the music is so soothing. My thanks to the Eagles for their great song.
This is a song about a woman that inspired that Peaceful Easy Feeling in a man
Thanks for reading Peaceful Easy Feeling.
