Our Christmas Poem 2017
.
It has been a very good year for Pam and I in 2017,
So we will share some of the joy our year did bring.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas at this time.
While hoping you too had a special year so very fine.

Our Christmas Poem 2017
.
We used to be Mom and Dad as our year went on by,
Now Pam and I are MaMo and PoPo as time it did fly.
We are still active, but we have slowed down at last.
So our years are less eventful not going by as fast.
.
We don’t travel too far away from home much anymore,
As old Bill just doesn’t travel well as it makes him sore.
But we still do things that are fairly close to our home,
With our family when they come to see us on the roam.
.
If you did read my blog this year, you’ve seen all in here,
So you have seen most of our family activities, I do fear.
So Merry Christmas to you all and have a happy new year.
May the good Lord bless and keep all of you dears.
.
We have spend a lot of time with our grandkids this year,
Loving our time out there with them so very near.
We don’t run and jump playing with them anymore,
But we do what we can as their presence we adore.
Left to Right Front: Luke, Zack, Frodo ( dog), Sarah, Ben. Back: Tamara, Wayco, Carl, Kristi, Bill, and Pam.
.
They opened a new lake here in Bartlesville so nice,
With a fine fishing dock allowing us to fish once or twice.
The fish aren’t very big, but catching them is a blast,
As we have contests for first, most, biggest, and last.
If you blow up the picture, you can even see the fish.
.
We had the whole crew here in June for a big adventure,
Out to Osage State Park Lake for an all day long tour,
We fished and the grandkids canoed having a ball.
For a very fun day out with our grandkids loving it all,
We had a lovely day at the lake.
.
We took a trip out to Pioneer Woman’s cafe for breakfast,
In Pawhaska that was so good as long as it did last.
We then headed on out to the Drummond Ranch,
To see the Lodge where she cooks on TV by chance.
The breakfast was superb, but the ranch and lodge were the best.
.
In November, we headed to Frisco on down Texas way,
To help our grandson Zack celebrate his 9th birthday,
We went to a place so Pam and the boys could play,
Then fished and played a doody head game, I do say.
A fun time with the Frisco Kids.
.
For Thanksgiving we visited all of the Taylor family,
Who cooked up a wonderful traditional dinner so yummy,
The crew including Sarah and Ben helped cook everything,
Then we played old trivia and lost to Carl the trivia king.
Kristi’s cooking is now as good as MaMo Barringers.
.
Bill had the aneurism of his Illiac Artery checked in August,
A year after he had checked to see if it was about to bust.
The doctor told us it was smaller than the year before,
Giving us so much to be thankful to the good Lord for.
.
Bill also had cataract surgery because he could not see,
The surgery lifted him right out of the fog completely,
The pacemaker continues to keep his blood flowing good,
So he still feels good all the time just like he should.
.
So we have had a good year with lots to be thankful for,
Even though we’ve slowed down much more than before.
We hope you all had a very good year in 2017 too,
Merry Christmas to you, and may your dreams come true.
Our thoughts are with Miss Laura Stenberg this year,
she just lost her mother that to her was so dear.
Laura was our girl’s babysitter in Oklahoma City so fine,
Who never missed sending a Christmas Card one time.
Laura hasn’t missed sending a Christmas Card with a letter in 37 years. So sorry for your loss Laura.
.
Bill and Pam,

Thanks for reading Our Christmas Poem 2017,
