Red And Green

 

 

Red and Green colors represent many things to us,
In this short poem, these things I do plan to discuss.
As I loved both of these colors over the years, you see,
So I will tell you what these colors represent to me.

Red And Green

 

 

.

Red has always been the symbol for great danger,
Such as fire or high voltage from a loose wire dangler.
Which means stay away if you don’t want to get hurt,
So be alert when you see it or you may hit the dirt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

When we get very angry, we get all Red in the face,
So anger is represented by the color Red in this case.
Kind of like all those Red faced angry birds out there.
That we shot at those pigs for lots of fun, I do declare.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

We get a little Red when embarrassed as we do churn,
And feel just little ashamed as our faces do burn.
As deep inside, our emotions charge up our nerves,
Turning us Red faced and panicky throwing us a curve.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

When our eyes see Red as we drive down the highway,
“Stop” is the message to us it always does convey.
It can be a Red stop sign at an intersection we do see,
Or a Red traffic light telling us to stop now completely.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

When the inner feeling of envy does overwhelm us,
Green is the color we turn making such a big fuss.
When our neighbor got that brand new chevy corvette,
We got just about as Green as we could possibly get.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

Remember that time you smoked that first cigar,
When you were a kid acting like a grown up star.
Green was the color you turned on that special day.
Just after you got dizzy and barfed up some whey.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

I recall when I was a kid and my sister received praise,
I turned into a Green monster in a jealousy phase.
And I treated her mean for no good reason at all.
Wishing later that nasty meanness I could recall.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

When our eyes see Green as we are sitting on the road,
The immediate message relayed to our brain is to go.
As that Green always means it is safe to move forward.
After sitting at the traffic light with the rest of the hoard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

When you mix Red and Green the result is yellow,
Which suggests cowardice in some other fellow,
Or perhaps caution as we drive on down the road,
So let’s keep these two separated to lighten our load.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

Now you see what Red and Green bring to my mind,
As I sit here and write this blog thinking all the time.
Sometimes I don’t always pick very good topics,
But I always finish no matter how difficult the subject.
