Brother Where Art Thou

Brother Where Art Thou

.
Craig and Rhonda are headed out here from Pahrump,
Out there in Nevada where the pronghorn antelope jump.
And the tall mountains are there on the horizon.to see.
That look so beautiful in the pictures they did send me.

Brother Where Art Thou

For those of you that may not know by this date in time,
Brother Craig and wife Rhonda moved to Pahrump so fine.
To a nice home in Nevada not far from Las Vegas so wild.
They are headed out to Houston for birth of a grandchild.

The view from Craig and Rhonda’s backyard in Pahrump, Nevada. Wow!

Early yesterday, we heard they were on the long highway,
Heading towards Borger, Texas where they will first stay,
To visit Members of Rhonda’s family that live out there.
Before they head on to Bartlesville to visit , I do declare.

..Rhonda and Craig now heading our way.

Rhonda kept us informed of their progress on Facebook,
As they traveled yesterday on the route that they took,
Heading south from Nevada on the long drive to Texas,
Using the GPS to map a route that is not real complex.

As they crossed the border to Arizona, a picture was taken,
Which looked a little desolate like a land so foresaken.
But it was pretty scenery and there was even a small lake,
In that Facebook photo that Rhonda posted, she did take.

Sometime after they had driven a while longer in Arizona,
Rhonda took a picture of mountains with a blurry toner
Thinking the haze may be smoke drifting in from California,
From the fires burning there playing tricks on the eye cornea.

Sometime later, they crossed the New Mexico borderline,
So it appears like they are still making very good time.
I hope Craig is not speeding on his way on down to Texas,
On those long straight highways in Arizona as he crosses.

The last word yesterday was a stop at Golden Corral to eat,
And it was apparently very good food, a very nice treat.
I thought maybe that they ate Mexican food on the way,
As New Mexico has very good enchiladas, or so they say.

.

I haven’t seen any more updates today along their way,
So I guess they did make Borger, Texas late yesterday.
And visited with family there they haven’t seen for a while.
Catching up with the latest news and then making a mile.

.

.

.

.

I guess Sunday they will head up to Bartlesville to see us,
We’re looking forward to see them once again to discuss,
Old times, catch up on all the latest news, and have fun.
Let us know the time you arrive for supper with hot buns.

.

.

.

.

We have planed iron skillet ham, fried potatoes, and corn,
With hot croissant butter buns cooked until they’re done.
This is a meal that will generate no gas at all after eating,
So we can enjoy our talks without taking a nose beating.
