Lay Down That iPad
.
It’s been two years since I started this internet blog of mine.
On March 4, 2014 with help from my daughter, Tamara, so fine.
I’ve written over 600 blogs which will be made into a “Me” book,
By my girls to hand down to future family for a long “Me” look.

Lay Down That iPad
This blog of mine started as a look at how seniors can use the iPad,
To enhance daily life while resting to keep from being so sad.
This kept me busy a while, but soon my knowledge was depleted.
In the “Notes” blog I talked about true life stories I had completed.
.
.
.
.
..
.
I had enjoyed writing about true life experiences, so I got on board,
And changed the focus of my blog to recollections and soared.
I’m sad to say that in two years that I have written it all down.
That I could remember about my life and nights on the town.
.
.
.
.
..
.
So in recent months, I have added some strange blogs in there,
Just to keep the words flowing and coming from somewhere.
I have told my daughters they could edit these out in the book.
But then my future family would miss weird me when they look.

.
.
.
.
.
I started writing short narratives in each blog that I did publish,
But somewhere along along the way, I got a bit bored so I did refurbish.
I found that writing poems to tell a story challenged me more.
So my blog became story poems of things I recalled from before.
.
.
.
.
..
.
I did enjoy finding the rhyming words to fit, but I drove Siri mad.
Asking her what rhymed with this and that as I wrote on my iPad.
Over all, perhaps 1/3 of my blogs are in story poem form to date.
That would make about 200 poems that I have written on my slate.
.
.
.
.
..
.
Do you think that I would be considered a blog poet by some,
And be inducted into the blog poets hall fame is there ever is one?
Well, at least my future family will know something about me,
As it will be there in that book my daughters put together, you see.
.
.
.
.
..
.
The real reason I blogged was to leave the legacy of myself,
My future family can keep forever up there on the top shelf.
And let the new generations read so they can see who I was.
As my memories of my grandparents lives are covered with fuzz.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
At the present time, I have nothing else to say so I will rest some,
Perhaps sometime in the future, more old memories will come.
Until then, may the good Lord bless and keep you until we meet again.
So goodbye for now as there will be no more rhyming until then.

So I’m taking off my Hawg Jaw hat and now I am just Bill again.
My jaws will be regular again looking normal and so very thin.
There are lots of things that now need to be done around here,
That I’ve put off for so long so I could blog here in my easy chair.
.
.
.
.
..
.
The good thing is the work doesn’t have to be done very fast.
So I guess I’ll lay this iPad down and get up off of my old ass,
And get started doing some of those things I’ve put off until last.
The first thing I’ll start with is doing taxes from the year just past.
