Sarah

Sarah is my only granddaughter just as sweet as she can be.
She started taking dance lessons at the very young age of three.
This poem shows how lovely she has grown with many talents.
She’s a very special young lady very loved by her two grandparents.

Sarah dances both tap and ballet with lots of her special skill,
She loves to dance and sing because it gives us all a big thrill.
She’s been so good in her dance activities it makes me so proud,
When I watch her dance, I am often floating up there in the clouds.

When she does her fine ballet routines she is so very smooth,
She floats right along the dance floor with moves that do sooth,
Fluttering like a butterfly across the floor with those fluid moves.
I tell you that young lady dances so great she really does groove.

Sarah has danced in Tulsa’s Nutcracker suite for several years,
We have been there for every one to see her with many joy tears.
She earns her roses working so hard practicing for the final show.
And awes us each time with her graceful performances that flow.
.
.
.
The younger dancers in the show usually start out as little mice,
They all just look so cute dancing all together as mice so nice.
After dancing, they scurry all around being chased by the maid,
As she chases them with a broom on her mouse hunting raid.

Sarah made the cutest little mouse you ever did see.

The next year she was a ginger bread girl dancing harder steps.
They came on the stage in an oven, popping out with lots of pep,
Performing a dance routine that just filled us all with great pride,
Wanting to run up and hug her standing right there by her side.
.
.
.
Ah, Sarah as the perfect little ginger bread girl hot out of the oven.

This year Sarah was a toy soldier in a Nutcracker program so sweet,
She was just a little doll in that outfit looking so cool and neat.
She had bright red rosy cheeks to go with that terrific red costume,
The routine was the hardest one yet, but she certainly did bloom.
.
.
.
Just look at that perfect toy soldier standing at attention. Dance on.

In addition to her dance, she just loves to dress up and pose,
She’s so beautiful no matter what she wears, this we all know.
When we find an old hat or something in a which she will glow,
We bring it over and she always looks beautiful as she grows.

Granddaughters are just great to be around as they are so fun,
If Sarah decides she wants to be a character so sweet on the run,
Her Mom helps her dress up so that she’s looks so very great.
Here she is as a Country girl heading for the fishing hole at the lake.

This last Halloween Sarah decided she would be Dorothy of Oz,
She looked fantastic in her costume as off to trick or treat she goes.
She had a basket with her cute little dog Todo sitting inside,
As she went from house to house taking him for a long ride.
.
.
.
Okay, Dorothy, just click your heels together and say, “there’s no place like home.”

.
I have added a flash from the past picture for a quick look back,
So you can see she is growing more beautiful staying on track,
She will become a teenager soon just growning up too fast.
We will always cherish this young lady with a love that will last.
