Toons Of Bighead Stature
.
I drew a few more Bighead toons in October this year,
To record a few more old memories without any tears.
I think the toons provide recreation for my old brain,
To keep my mind busy keeping me out of the rain.

Toons Of Bighead Stature
.
“Booger” is the first Bighead toon that came to mind,
He’s a kid I knew in grade school with a booger so fine,
Hanging out of his nose in the cafeteria one fine day,
Making it hard to eat my lunch with him across the way.
.
“Tonkawa” is an Indian brave of the Kalamazoo tribe,
I saw in a movie giving me very bad internal vibes.
The mean looking son of a gun tried to scalp John Wayne,
But ended up full of bullets in a whole lot of pain.
.
“Ratso” is one of those guys you see with weird pets,
Who even gets his pet rat shots from the animal vet.
And takes him for walks on a leash to let him potty,
But he has pooped on the floor rat pellets so shoddy.
.
“Justin is a student at an old country school so small,
All dressed up like a cowboy while standing so tall.
He brought a bright red apple for his teacher to eat,
Kind brown nosing to get a better grade, so sweet.
.
“Jeter” is a very good baseball player I used to watch,
Who, as a shortstop, that baseball could really catch,
He was a great Yankee hitter standing at home plate,
Sometimes getting frustrated when his swing was late.
.
“Toe Jam” is a country boy from way down south,
Who loved to eat those frog legs with his own mouth,
So he spent a lot of time down by the old fish pond,
Catching big bullfrogs to take on home to his Mom.
.
I once saw a movie about a teenage “Wolf Boy” so fine,
Who turned into a cool looking wolf at full moon time,
The kid had super powers that he put to very good use,
Impressing the girls and acting just a little bit obtuse.
.
I recalled a “Crooked Man” from a children’s rhyme,
I heard back when I was just a small boy a lot of times.
Everything that old man had was very crooked too,
Including his house, street, and a dog named Boo.
.
Fly Floater was a fly fisherman I knew up at South Fork,
Who dieted and lost a whole lot of his fat meat pork.
His waders were hanging loose giving him a place,
To put fish he caught on that river at a very fast pace.
.
Last Halloween a kid came to my own front door,
Yelling “trick or treat” looking so cute, not a bore.
He was dressed as a red “Cardinal” looking so sweet,
As I gave him some gummy worms for his good treat.
