The Moon In The Man

I wrote down a title just to see if I could write a poem to fit it.
With just a little thought, I came up with this before I did quit,
It may not have flowed exactly as I thought it should when read,
But I think it’s not too bad being right off the top of my head.

The Moon In The Man

We’ve all heard of the “Man In The Moon” up in that night sky,
Looking down on us with a smile when the full moon is so high.
On a clear night his features up there are so distinct and clear.
So then what does the “Moon In The Man” mean for me to share?

.
I think the moon in the man has many meanings as will be seen,
Perhaps you have of one or two already if you are quite keen.
If so, it’ll be fun comparing them with those originating in my mind.
As you read the following little verses, when you’re feeling so fine.

The moon in the man could be when he’s feeling a little romantic,
Holding a young ladies hand walking the beach near the Atlantic.
Trying to sweep her off of her feet with his suave sweet talk
Of her beauty and how much he loves their nightly beach walks.

.
The moon in the man could be when he’s feeling melancholy,
Just a little sad for no reason he can think of in life’s little follies.
He needs a good experience to bring him back to life once again,
To regain that smile he lost so his happiness can move back in.

Perhaps the moon in the man is moon shine making him high.
That was made from that old copper still that the man did hide
I guess that the man must have looked something like Hawg Jaw.
As he chugged that white lightning burning as down it did fall.

.
The moon in the man may relate to his kind of ugly bodily actions,
As pulls down his pants and shines his butt to see our reactions.
He thought it looked very cool to flash his butt so white and shiny,
While all we could see was a dumb ass showing us his hinny.

..
Soft and easy crooning could define the moon in the man also.
Like Sinatra as that Roger’s tune “Blue Moon” he croons so slow.
All of the ladies used to yell and scream as he crooned his tunes.
So maybe old “blue eyes” did have just a little touch of the moon.

.
Moon in the man may be defined as a man with the moon inside.
Enough beer will often make a man’s stomach round and wide.
No it’s not a pretty sight to see a big old moon so big and round,
Right there where a nice flat stomach with abs should be found.

Dust from that first step could be moon in the man’s space boots,
As Neil Armstrong walked on the moon establishing USA’s roots.
This may be moon on the man carried back to earth for us to see,
Making everyone here watching live on TV just as proud as can be.

So you see, there is a lot of possible definitions of Moon In The Man,
And I’m sure there may be a lot more that could found in this land,
So when you are sitting there with nothing at all for you to do.
Try thinking a while to see if you might be able to come up with a few.
