The Brain Transplant
.
Sometimes my thoughts drift into the far outer limits
About wild ideas that seem so remote, just a gimmick.
Many old people’s own brains are as sharp as a tack,
Transplanting to a young body would get us years back.
.
.
.
The Brain Transplant
.
There is in my brain, years of knowledge stored in there
We hear often of young people brain dead that won’t care,
If they were able to transplant my old brain in their body,
Enabling old people to live again no longer looking shoddy.
.
.
..
.
.
..
.
It would be so nice to feel young and click up my heels,
Without anymore pain for my much younger body to feel.
I could run, jump, and climb up a ladder to the high rack,
Without worrying about falling and breaking my back.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
It would seem that the young person was living again too,
And I would enjoy his young body another lifetime through.
I could again dance and make many more fun memories,
Knowing so much more as I progress life as I do please.
.
.
.
.
I guess I would have to find a new job and work again,
Which would be just fine as I would enjoy the new friends.
I might get me another sporty car being young once more,
But I would not smoke hurting my health like I did before.
.
.
.
.
It would seem so strange being younger than my girls,
But I think I would be willing to give this new life a whirl,
Running and playing with my grandchildren all around,
With the new younger body looking so very profound.
.
.
.
.
Pam could get a brain transplant to a pretty young chick,
And we could get married again both looking so slick.
And much sex we could once again have with each other,
Having a new family that looked different to one another.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
With the knowledge we have from the first time around,
We could do a better job bringing up a new family sound.
Then before too long, we’d have new grandchildren again.
Wait that means we’re getting old once more by then.
.
.
.
.
We better get on the list for another brain transplant fast,
But wait, there is not enough brain dead bodies to last.
As everyone else is now getting them to renew their lives,
So I guess we only get one new transplant to really jive.
.
.
.
.
I guess 140 years of life on earth will just have to do,
Besides no more new brain wrinkles will fit in there too.
So I guess it’s just two long lifetimes until we are through.
But what great fun it would be if we could all get our two.
.
.
.
.
It was fun thinking and dreaming about brain transplants,
But it will not happen in the time left for me on the planet.
But todays youngsters might reserve a brain dead body,
For a future time they may renew their lives , you see.
.I guess we’ll just have to be content with the years we have left.
