Spring Fever

Spring Fever

.

Since my good sight has been restored back to me,
This Spring I plan to get back out in nature to see,
All those things that are out there with great beauty.
So once again I can experience a natural high so free.

Spring Fever

.

Spring has always been my favorite time of the year,
As everything is turning bright green in the cool air.
The flowers are shooting up from under the leaves,
With red breasted robins hopping around as they please.

I want again to see the beauty of the Dogwood trees,
With those pink and white blossoms moving in the breeze.
For such a long time things have been blurred for me,
So this Spring will be a very special time as I can see.

Pam’s flowers are always a pleasure in the Spring,
The lilies seem to come up first, such beautiful things,
The stems are dark green with multiple flowers to see,
Just blossoming out with beauty for you and me.

There are some pretty blue flowers that come up too,
Through the neighbors oak leaves that fell here so true.
To provide warmth and cover until they poked on through,
With their beauty shining bright there where they grew.

There are two red Bud trees out in front that bloom nice,
With pinkish red blooms looking like sugar and spice,
That I can hardly wait to see in much detail once more.
They will be covered all over with blooms for sure.

Later Pam’s roses will bloom bright pink by the walk,
For us all to see as we come and go and then talk,
About the beauty and joy they do bring to everyone,
Seeing those enchanting blooms in the morning sun.

I look forward to seeing my daughter Kristi’s flowers too,
As she has a green thumb to help her on through.
She has grown lilies that take your breath on away,
Placing fine images in our mind that will always stay.

.

Kristi grows giant sunflowers that rise to the sky,
With a special beauty that always catches your eye.
The seeds remaining after the flowers do go away,
Provide food for the birds that in her yard do stay.

This Spring will be very special for this old man to see,
With eyes that see such detail sending images to me.
The older one gets, the more we appreciate real beauty.
So be sure to look at the beauty all around you carefully.
