Hot Peppers
.
I saw a documentary on TV one time that really caught my eye,
About a small country’s people who ate hot peppers in their diet.
There had never been a case of cancer in their very long history,
I was intrigued and started eating hot peppers to try to help me.

Hot Peppers
We eat a lot of hot peppers in our daily diet as a cancer prevention.
I will tell you now a little about how we work the hot stuff on in.
When I make cheese and sausage nachos for our evening treat,
I add hot green chilie slices on top to make them so much better to eat.

When I fix black eyed peas with our meals I use “Ranch Style” Brand,
I chop up two tablespoons of Jalapeños to add to each can.
This gives them lots of flavor to spice up the black eyed pea taste,
Making our meal a little spicy hot and we love going to that place.

When I fix my chili that is so very good on a cold winters night,
I throw in two tablespoons of hot crushed red peppers so light,
To give that chili that spicy twang that just tastes so very right.
I also put in beans to that give us gas when we go to bed at night.

When I fix a big old pot of brown beans with ham chunks inside,
I throw in two quartered onions as flavor galore in them does reside.
I also throw in a handful of chopped jalapeños to give them a kick.
I love those spicy beans , but sometimes gas does make me sick.

When I fix my Chinese wok with chicken and fresh veggies too,
I always throw in a handful of crushed red pepper into the brew,
Spooned over the top of fluffy white steamed rice in a big old bowl,
It tastes so good with that nice spicy flavor, right down to your soul.

For the Holidays, we always fix a big relish tray for our dinners.
One special item I always place on that tray that’s a tasty winner,
Is jumbo green olives stuffed with a slice of jalapeño right inside,
When you take a big bite of them, your taste buds go on a hot ride.

Some times we order sausage pizza and have it delivered here,
I get one of those packets of crushed red peppers with no fear,
And spread it all over each piece to make it taste much better,
While in my big old recliner eating pizza as a lazy butt setter.

There are many more ways I get my hot pepper medicine dose,
When we’re eating out on the town at restaurants so very close,
For breakfast I eat a sausage, cheese, onion, and jalapeño omelet.
To start the day off, being sure my dose of hot peppers to get.

When we eat out at the Mexican restaurant, I get steak tampiquena.
Which is a rib eye with grilled onions and fresh sliced jalapeños,
Sitting right there on top of the steak, with retried beans and rice.
It tastes so good, as I eat that flavorful blend that is so very nice.

When I get side dishes like cooked cabbage or turnip greens,
I douse Tabasco or Louisiana hot sauce right on this fine cuisine.
The red Tobasco pepper is fiery hot with a real fine spicy flavor,
Giving all those greens dishes a good taste that I really do favor.

I’m not too sure whether my hot pepper program works or not.
But I am sure I have never had any of that cancer body rot.
So I guess I’ll keep on eating daily all kinds of peppers so hot,
Anyway, I now have a taste for them as down life’s road I do trot.
