Hank Sr And Bocephus
.
Hank Williams has been a favorite singer of mine,
I picked up a lot of his early LP Albums back in time,
While collecting, I found a lot of early Bocephus too,
So I’m going to review a few of the LPs I found with you.

Hank Sr And Bocephus
.
Hank Williams was perhaps the best story teller ever,
In those songs that he wrote with his words so clever,
With that voice that just draws you in as he sings.
In these old albums of mine that the chills will bring.
..
All of the Hank Williams albums are on the MGM label,
From back when his songs were played on a turntable.
I still play these old LP records from time to time,
Because the rich music tone sounds so very fine.
.
.
The thing that impresses me so much about Hank,
Is his songs are about true life experiences, I think,
That most of us have also been through once or twice.
As we have lived our long lives with a little bit of spice.
.
.
I love to sit and listen to the old Hank Williams songs,
Getting lost in the music while singing right along.
It always makes me want to drink a cold beer or two,
And most of the time I end up drinking quite a few.
.
.
So I treasure these old Hank Williams albums a lot,
I have many more albums not displayed with this crop.
Hank’s music is ageless and will be around forever,
So I’ll keep these albums until the twelfth of never.

When Hank Williams Jr was a young country singer,
He followed in his father’s foot steps, a dead ringer,
He was Luke The Drifter Jr in the album just below,
I don’t remember the songs, but I love the hat so.
.
.
In the album below, Junior sings all songs by his dad.
He’s still a young whipper snapper looking kind of sad.
The songs sound good as sung by this young man,
As he puts his heart into them as he sings for his fans.
.
.
In the album called “Bocephus”, he grew a mustache,
With some long sideburns almost down to his ass.
There’s just one Hank Sr song on the Bocephus album,
But don’t you worry, there will soon be more to come.
.
.
“Hank Williams Jr And The Cheating Hearts” is next,
There’s still a big reference to his daddy’s song text,
In his albums as a young country artist still on the rise,
Not knowing he was headed for super stardom in our eyes.
.
.
My favorite early album was the movie sound track,
To “Your Cheating Heart” about Hank Sr’s life way back.
I saw that movie back in 1964 while at Texas Tech,
The songs touched my soul that day as I look back.
.
.
Later in his career, Hank Jr became one of my favorites,
Writing his own songs and doing his thing in his flight,
To the top of the charts and entertainer of the year.
In the early eighties, he was the very best, I do fear.
