You’ve read my stuff, then you read more and more,
Perhaps you all have heard enough from this old bore,
I don’t know for sure now if I will ever completely quit,
So you’ll never know if you have yet seen the end of it.

Good Brown Gravy

My writing could be compared to good brown gravy,
It’s different with a sometimes unique flavor so crazy.
Covering everything I’ve ever had on my life’s plate,
When just a small bowl of the stuff may fill you up great.

So from this point on forward in this particular blog,
Eating good brown gravy for purposes of the Hawg,
Shall infer reading the blog of old Hawg Jaw Bill,
So try to keep an open mind while reading, if you will.

If you get too much good brown gravy along the way,
It kind of turns your stomach making you then say:
I should have stopped eating that gravy long ago,
Cause if you get too much, it may get “yucky” you know.

Eating that brown gravy overall could get kind of wild,
As too much of a very good thing for one little child,
May result in some “tall tales” that could never be,
Even though they may have seemed so real to me.

Some people prefer not to have brown gravy overall,
But rather, just to dip fries and meat as its their call.
Because sometimes a little bit of a good thing is best,
But you’ll never know until you give it your own test.

That brown gravy can at times irritate us all a whole lot,
As only a drop can make a brown stain causing a spot,
So you must be very tolerant eating that gravy at times,
Or you may get your feathers ruffled not feeling too kind.

Don’t drink the gravy through a straw.

I love eating that good brown gravy with its fine taste,
But sometimes I eat too fast and create some waste,
Then it comes out of me in the form of very bad gas
That kind of turns a few stomachs before it does pass.

The one thing about that good brown gravy that’s bad,
Is you can’t warm it over for second’s if you’re sad,
As no one wants to eat that yesterday’s stuff again,
So you have to have fresh gravy to come up with a win.

Where’s my good brown gravy?

So eating that good brown gravy can be a good experience,
But if that brown gravy gets gray, it’s not rocket science,
To figure out that we may need to let it rest a while,
As brown gravy is brown gravy never changing it’s style.

But the one thing about good brown gravy today,
Is that it is the best in the land and is here to stay.
So eat all you can while you have one last chance,
As we may loose the recipe and can no longer dance.

So eat all of that good brown gravy while you still can,
As there’s not much left when you get to be an old man,
And the doctor may tell you at any time from now on,
Stop eating that brown gravy or you will surely be gone.

PS: Murphy’s is one of my favorite restaurants and I do love their brown gravy. The references to “Yucky” and “Tall Tales” refer to my blog not the brown gravy. Perhaps I got a little too deep on this one?
