Family Fun
.
We had so much fun with company this week that I didn’t blog,
We were so busy doing fun things together living high on the hog,
I whipped out this little poem after they went to bed tonight,
When I got a little time available as I was not sleeping too tight.

We’ve had company for the past three days having a great time,
First, we sang Brenda happy birthday looking so slim and fine.
What a change this fine lady has made with all her weight loss.
With all her energy, she seems like a different person with sauce.

Darena was sporting a brand new hair cut making her look younger,
The way she ate, it was like she might have been dying of hunger.
But she said they drove all day to get here without even stopping,
Yet, after we ate, they both said they would like to go shopping.

When they arrived, Pam was cutting onions for potatoes to fry,
These were the only tears that were shed as she let the tears fly,
Even though we told lots of stories about old Buffalo Bob then,
Reminiscing about the fun good times we had all had with him.

I told a story of once when we were at a honky tonk at South Fork.
Pam and I clogged to “Old Time Rock and Roll”, some hard work,
Buffalo Bob had to get Into the action jitterbugging with Pam,
He lost all his breath and almost “croaked at Croakers”, in a jam.

Brenda told a story of a time he was with the boys at the cabin,
Bob was on a cleanliness kick picking up beer caps therein,
The boys snuck them out of the trash and spread them again.
Old Buffalo about had the big one as they laughed loud at him.

We remembered the time he was here at Thanksgiving time,
Carrying leftovers to the basement fridge feeling so very fine.
He missed the last step and fell down busting up the dishes,
Bob was okay, but it embarrassed him as a step he never misses,

On Saturday, we all took a trip to Tulsa to take the girls to shop.
We all had lunch at White River Fish Market as our first stop,
It was Brenda’s treat as we all ate a whole lot of shrimp meat,
Then the girls shopped their hearts out as I took a soft seat.

On the way home, we stopped at the Ramona Casino that night,
Pam and I walked out $1000 richer as we hit the slots just right.
We headed home and the girls all went to bed just worn out.
They had lots of shopping loot so the long trip was a workout.

I fixed a big pot roast for all the ladies for lunch on Sunday,
That looked like a dish from “Southern Living” I must say.
We headed to Coffeyville to go antiquing just looking for fun,
And stopped by their Casino, winning another $400 on the run.

We headed home and got a steak a Murpheys, oh so good.
Then headed to Osage Casino on the hill to digest our food.
Pam and I won $600 there on their slots that are so very tight.
Valentine’s Day was a fine time for gambling as the slots were right.

These three old ladies and I had a great time running together,
I had three chicks on my arm this weekend, it don’t get no better.
On top of that I’m $2000 dollars richer after their great visit,
I told them to come right on back next week, in fact I insisted.
