Don’t Over Think

“Once Upon A Time” to me seems to be so very blurred.
This little phrase was used to start all the stories I heard,
Back when I was a young child not knowing any better,
But now, I have had time to think as an old man butt sitter.

Sitting and perhaps over thinking on that hot spot..

Don’t Over Think
.
A “Once upon a time there were three bears..” starting
Suggests the three bears climbed on top of time therein.
Seriously, how do you get “upon a time” as time flys by.
You could get hurt even if you were dumb enough to try.

Someone has been sleeping in my bed and there she is.
..

.
..
You say “time” represents a historical period from the past,
And the three bears story took place then, if anyone asks.
Then wouldn’t it be better to begin the story this way,
“In the woods, in the 1930’s, were three bears.,” I say.

.
“Back in the depression in the woods were three bears…,”
Would have started the story off much better, I swear.
Giving us much more information about when and where,
But I guess most all of the little kids didn’t really even care.

I am probably overthinking this “Once upon a time..” thing,
Everyone already knows that the introduction will bring,
A story just for all the kids that would make them so happy,
As I often still use for all my grandkids as their grandpappy.

Let me rethink this, perhaps I have been thinking too much.

..
When as kids we heard “Once upon a time”, up we perked,
Because we knew a good story behind that start lurked.
And a three bear or maybe pig story was headed our way.
So I guess it may be much better for kids to not stray.

My house of brick may take longer, but…...

Having too much time to sit and think about trivial stuff,
Tends to complicate the issues like politicians acting up.
Keeping things simple is sometimes very much better,
Than slinging all that politician mud right at each other.

Politicians always try to over complicate to cause conflict,
And confuse the general public with all of their bullshit,
So don’t overthink all the things that you often do hear,
As that mud slinging comes fast during an election year.

It’s easy to complicate simple issues as I’ve done in here,
To get everyone on a tangent out in space somewhere,
Instead of focusing on the real issues that we need to hear.
So just vote Republican and soon the air will start to clear.

Republican is the only way.

I think many strong political strings are being pulled, I fear,
By Hillary who probably should now be doing ten years.
It’s hard to even think she is a candidate for president,
Who could replace Obama as the White House resident.

Pulled this off the internet that seemed to fit herein.

Haven’t “we the people” learned a thing in the last 8 years,
If she were to be elected, l would break out in real tears,
Thinking the terrorists somehow are controlling selection,
To keep our great nation in big turmoil with her election.

Told you you would be a candidate if we all stuck together.
