Doing The Do

.

Somewhere in the past I heard a phrase “Doing The Do”,
I never did know what this phrase meant out of the blue.
I thought about it and came up with a couple of possibilities.
Which I will now share with you as some of my maybes.

Doing The Do

.
The first thing that came to mind was sitting on the pot,
“Doing The Do”, the way I drop pooh on that hot spot.
I drop down my shorts and tuck in old Duke as I sit,
Usually starting with a loud fart before dropping any of it.

I lean forward and get up on the balls of my two feet,
To start the flow moving faster which feels so neat.
At about half way out, l lean back fast to speed the flow,
Then I hear a loud splash as the first one lets go.

 

 

 

 

.

I lean forward and feel slow movement once again,
Repeating the process once or twice more to the end.
Then wipe off the brown and stand up and dress,
Inspecting my job of the “do that I did”, I must confess.

 

 

 

 

.

I had another thought about me “Doing The Dew”,
Back in the late nineties with a friend of mine or two.
John knew a guy in Nowata that sold Mountain Dew,
And occasionally he picked up a whole gallon or two.

.

John, Dale, and I sometimes drank that clear home brew,
Getting pretty high on that clear white lighting as we flew.
We kind of got rowdy and acted a bit like big ole fools,
Having fun “Doing The Dew” trying very hard not to drool.

I looked up “Doin’ The Do” on the Internet to find out,
Where I had heard that phrase and what it was about.
I found it was a 1990 rap song sung by Betty Boo.

I think that both of my versions of “Doing The Do.”
Are much more satisfying than rapper Betty Boos,
Maybe you have a version “Doing The Do” or two,
That are much more satisfying personally to you.

I feel kind of bad about writing this particular blog,
But it’s done now, so I guess I will blame it on the Hawg.
When an idea pops into my old head so very fast,
I find it written down even if doesn’t have much class.

So I guess since I have already written it down here,
I’ll go ahead and publish it and then drink a beer,
If you got this far, you have now read it on through,
So why don’t you head for the kitchen for a beer too.
