Classic Country 45s
.
Today I am featuring just a few examples of my 45 rpm record collection for Hank Williams and Bob Wills. These are just a small fraction of my collection for these two super country stars. I doubt that I will be able to part with these when I die so I guess they can bury them with me.

Classic Country 45s
Hank Williams
I won’t spent too many words praising these guys because everyone already knows how great they were and their music still is. I know everyone will recognize the titles to these 45s and could probably sing a few bars of each song.
“I Can’t Help It” reached number 2 on the County Music Charts on 6/9/51
“Move It On Over” reached number 5 on the charts on 8/9/47.
“I Could Never Be Ashamed Of You” was not charted but was none the less an excellent song.
“Mind Your Own Business” reached number 4 on the charts on7/23/49.
“Settin’ The Woods On Fire” reached number 2 on the charts on 11/15/52.
Bob Wills
Some of Bobs best songs are contained on the 45s shown below. Anyone from Texas and Oklahoma knows all of these songs, no doubt about it, Bob Wills is still the King.
“Faded Love” reached number 5 on the Country Music Charts on 11/4/50
“San Antonio Rose” reached number 2 on the charts on 9/9/44.
“Ida Red” reached number 19 on the charts on 1/21/50.
“Milk Cow Blues” did not reach the charts but everyone loves this old song.
“Snatchin’ And Grabbin'” released in the early 1950s did not make the charts
Bob Wills obviously changed labels often, but not as many times as George Jones.
Thanks for reading Classic Country 45s,
Bill
