Back In The Saddle Again

 

 

 

Hawg jaw is back in the saddle once more for a while,
Writing on the prairie in that familiar story poem style,
Just sitting in that big easy chair drifting in and out,
Writing towards my goal of 1000 blogs, there’s no doubt.

 

 

 

I sorted some of my old vinyl 33 1/3 rpm LP records resting so I put a few in here.

Back In The Saddle Again

This period has truly been a rest for the old Hawg,
As I laid down my iPad to get a rest from my blog.
Pam was not yet ready to auction off most of our stuff,
So my plan was stifled before the work got too rough.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

I did however watch some good college football games,
And some of the initial NBA games of the teams of fame.
Oh, we watched the Houston Astros beat the NY Yankees,
For the AL baseball championship in a 7 game squeeze.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

The Astros had one very small player on their team,
Who was so fun to watch playing as he did his thing,
He always came through with a terrific clutch play.
Altuve is his name, likely the next AL MVP on his way.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

The Astros and the Dodgers are now in the World Series,
Tied at one game apiece playing hard, if you please.
This is the prime part of the year for sports lovers,
And a good time for old men to watch golden glovers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

I did organize my old LP records to get them ready,
To sell between sports and the new TV shows so steady.
So hopefully I can start getting rid of the old records,
If there are still collectors interested in LPs I did hoard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

We started watching “Seal Team” on TV with good action,
With stories of American Heroes with fast reactions.
“The Brave” is another show about a military team,
Completing covert special operations in their scheme.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

And this morning I dusted off my iPad once again,
And just started writing my blog once more to begin,
My run to 1000 blogs to reach the goal I set a while ago,
While I’m still able and my wrinkled brain is not too old.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

So I’m off and running getting you caught up for now,
On what has been going on here as time will allow,
As I get warmed up to continue writing my little rhymes,
That keep my old brain busy recalling from old times.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

Please don’t expect much from these last few blogs,
As I have about drained the memories of the Hawg.
I do hope I don’t get too wild as I finish my long run,
So it may be interesting as I am again under the gun.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

.

I’m ready to go and all warmed up for my next blog,
As the words have again started from the old Hawg.
It’s a good thing blog rhymes with Hawg as I write,
Because I use the combo a lot in my rhyming fight.
